keni drummed her fingers on the car window, her nerves were building up and her entire body shook with both anticipation and nervousness.

taeyong was sending her in solo. she couldn't believe that he trusted her to get lucas out alive all by herself but she was in no position to question the leader. it seemed like he knew what he was doing most of the time.

ayeri had accompanied her in the car as johnny drove, holding her other hand in reassurance.

at home, winwin had to be actively restrained so he wouldn't follow keni. he had thrown a fit, demanding that he go in with keni, saying that anything could happen to her if she went solo.

in the end, keni and ayeri had to sneak out to the car so that winwin wouldn't follow.

as they arrived, ayeri smiled at her newfound friend and handed her the two guns that keni had now become accustomed to using, "now go kick butt baddie!"

keni laughed at her friend, hopping from the car while connecting her in ear to whoever was on the other side. it happened to be ten and keni smiled as the latter sent her words of encouragement.

she felt mildly relieved knowing that ten was the one monitoring the mission, his calm demeanor washing over her as well as she took in the building in front of her. 

ten directed her to take the back door leading to the basement and it took her awhile to get past the person circling and guarding the warehouse-like building.

she spoke quietly to ten, "is this really their base, it looks gross and like a prison."

ten laughed on the other side, "no i think it really is a prison."

she nodded her head in acknowledgement as she peeked up from behind the wall, seeing nothing but a long, empty hallway.

suddenly, her heart starting beating fast as she felt someone breathing right behind. she slowly turned around, gulping, but then became surprised as she saw who it was.

"what the fuck are you doing here," she said as quietly as possible.

winwin smirked, "couldn't let my girl go in here alone, could i?"

keni heard ten cursing winwin out in her ear and she rolled her eyes, turning her attention back on the surroundings. 

she motioned for winwin to follow her as she tried to move as fast as possible, peeking into all the rooms inside the building. 

lucas was nowhere to be found and they had reached the last room. keni looked in and immediately backed away. her eyes had immediately met someone else's.

they had been waiting. g-dragon had his face up to the window of the door, smiling manically when he saw keni and winwin. he opened the door, motioning with a finger to invite them in.

when keni and winwin reluctantly stepped in they saw lucas on his knees in the corner breathing heavily, his arms and legs shackled together. he didn't complain but keni saw how exhausted her best friend was and her heart ached. 

she wanted to rush to him and get him home, but the gun pointed to her head prevented her from doing so. one wrong move and they would all end up dead.

she glared at winwin for following her, he was making this a lot harder on her. 

g-dragon started talking, "nct. why did they send the newbie hmm?" he came close and tilted her chin up so he could look her in the face, "you must have something special for them to keep you around."

keni rolled her eyes and lifted a leg up to kick him in the stomach, making him point his gun back at her.

he was mad, "i don't play games princess, do that again and i'll shoot all three of you."

winwin spat on the floor, "what the fuck do you want from us?"

g-dragon smiled, "the girl. give me the girl. ikon bought her off from jackson anyways so she's our property. give her back and you can leave with lucas."

in the corner, lucas mustered enough strength to yell at winwin not to do it, earning a kick from the boy guarding him. 

keni couldn't take it anymore as lucas doubled over in pain. she felt sure that g-dragon wouldn't really shoot her so she rushed to lucas's side, letting him lean on her as she scanned his injuries.

g-dragon focused his attention back on winwin. he noticed how winwin's fist curled as he watched keni fuss over lucas and he smirked, "what will it be lover boy? i'm letting you pick between your friend and the girl."

winwin glanced at g-dragon again and answered, "neither." he pulled out his own gun in a flash, shooting lucas's guard right in the heart.

g-dragon's eyes darkened, "wrong move."

g-dragon lifted keni up by her collar and pointed the gun to her head, "i said i needed her, but now i won't hesitate. there are no more choices," g-dragon pointed at lucas, "shoot your friend and i won't kill her."

winwin's eyebrows furrowed at the options that g-dragon gave him. it seemed like both of them forgot that keni was a fully capable assassin with two guns attached to her hip. while g-dragon and winwin engaged in a staring contest, she pulled out the first gun and moved slightly to get winwin's attention.

when he winked, signaling that he knew what she was about to do, she flipped herself around and out of g-dragon's grasp, now pointing the gun to his head.

winwin rushed to lucas and grabbed the key from the dead guard's body, unlocking the shackles.

he helped his friend up as keni and g-dragon continued to hold each other by gun point. 

as winwin left with lucas, it wasn't like keni was afraid to shoot the man in front of her. she just wasn't as fast as him and she wasn't expecting it as the bullet hit her shoulder and she crashed down to the floor with the impact.

she still mustered all her strength, and pointed both her guns, shooting a bullet into each of g-dragon's legs, ensuring that he wouldn't be able to follow her as she she tried to move fast out of the building. 

she was losing blood rapidly as she exited the building. the last thing she saw before collasping on the ground was ayeri's worried eyes.
