“Behind.. What?”
Lumingon ako and sure enough I saw Cloud walking our way. I couldn’t help admiring how he walks like he owns the place, how he handles himself and how he seems to stride down the road as if he were walking down the catwalk with equal grace and beauty.. How he doesn’t seem to mind the wind tossing his slightly long hair and making it equally messy and hot. But most of all I couldn’t look away from his eyes that was currently looking straight at me as if his stare would pierce right through me.
The moment our eyes connected I felt something deep inside me stir, like a cat starting to wake from its long slumber. My heart started to race wildly and it felt like it would burst out of my chest at any moment.
(My gosh! Ano ba to? Bakit ganito ang nararamdaman ko? Para kong tumakbo ng marathon sa bilis ng tibok ng puso ko! Naku sabi na nga ba dapat umiiwas na ko sa kape eh! Ang bilis ko na yatang nerbiyosin!)
“Peach?” Icel Jack called beside me.
“Huh?”
“Are you okay? You look….”
“Hmm? Ah… I—I’m fine” I said without looking away from Cloud.
Nang malapit na samin si Cloud ay inaasahan kong hihinto man lang siya para batiin ako or something pero na disappoint ako na magtuloy-tuloy ito sa paglalakad at iwan akong nakatanga na lang doon habang tinitingan siyang maglakad palayo.
“Peach? Aren’t you going to give the cake to Cloud?”
