Chapter Twenty Five

"Zack!" I cried as they went forward running into the zombies, "Hurry up and open the gates!" a man shouted yelling at his men. Alexis fell to the ground as Danny came into the fight as well, "ZACK!" I screamed for him, but he blew me off, "There open get them inside!" they grabbed me picking me up from the waste, "NO PLEASE!" I screamed as they tried carrying us inside, "ZACK!" As they all turned to look at us more of them came, but they kept holding them back, "Close the gates!" He shouted. I threw myself down to the floor and crawled back for them soon getting up and running, but a solder grabbed me by the waste turning around and carrying me as I kicked and screamed, "ZACK!!!!!" I cried. I saw Alexis running back out yelling for Danny, but another solder got her.

"Katherine!" Zack's voice screamed in pain as they got over run, "JAKE, ZACK!!!!!!" I screamed as I fell to the ground sobbing. Alexis ran up to the gate shaking it try to pry it open, "Danny!!!!" the pain in her voice was like no other. I looked back out and saw no one left standing no one still fighting, "Zack, Alex!!!!!" I couldn't cry I could only scream in pain as I held the necklace he gave me, "ALEX!!!!!!!" Alexis screamed falling to the ground holding herself. I closed my eyes still remembering the first time I met Zack.

****Flash back******

For the one second I turned around a zombie jumped on top of me, "Katherine!" I heard Sean yelling. I thought it was end for me as I tried to get free but they were stronger than us.

As i was about to give up a gun shot came from in front of me and the zombie plopped down onto me. I pushed it off as Sean helped me up and then saw the other man standing in front of us, "Sean!" I heard Kelly scream as she came running to us both. I look at the guy who saved us he looked about to be Sean's age which is about 16, "Thank you," I said slowly as i looked at him, "Your welcome, I'm Zack by the way," i knew i saw him before Zack goes to the same school as us but is always in the Principal office. As he turned around I stopped him, "Do you want to come with us?" he shook his head and said, "I have someone I need to be with here," I nodded my head and let him go on as Sean picked up Kelly and took her back to the room.

***Three days later Flash back***

I could feel my foot slipping but i tried to stay standing, "Sean!" i shouted on more time seeing if he would come, but he didn't and i couldn't hold them back for much longer they were stronger than me after all. I slowly started to fall back feeling the zombies behind me falling along with me, "Katherine!" I heard my name but it wasn't Sean's voice it was someone else's. I tired grabbing onto the railing but it didn't help. Maybe it was my time to go with all the others maybe even be with my family and loved ones. As I hit the ground feeling a sharp pain in the back of my head i had wish that the pain would be over with soon, but before I closed my eyes i saw him again the one who saved me before...Zack.

Sean, Kelly!" i cried out i was in a dark room with only one light on, "Sean!" i yelled out one more time to see if would come but then i heard my brother, "Sissy!" he cried out. i followed his voice leading me farther and father into the dark, "Katherine!' i heard Sean's voice then Zack's voice. I didn't know where i was or who was with me, "Sissy!" he cried as i came to stop there he was laying on the floor his body bitten all over his eye hanging out of his socket, "C...Chris!" I cried as i stumbled down to the floor up as I carrying him. "Katherine!" Zack wasn't far from me, "S...S...S" Chris voice was just a whimper but he was coming back, "CHRIS!" My face grew a smile as his little hand held mine and as he open his eye those big...grey...eyes, "No!!" i cried "Katherine, get back!" Zack yelled as he got me and pulled me back making me drop my brother, "Zack no please you don't understand he's okay!" i cried as i yelled at him but then Sean came along

"Sean, what are you doing...Sean wait...." He shot him right in the head making his body go in a limp, "SEAN NO!" I pushed Zack out of the way running to Chris, "Chris please come back, CHRIS!" I shouted as the tears streamed down my cheek. My heart was broken there was nothing left for me anymore, "I'm sorry Katherine, " Zack said as Sean pointed the gun at me that's when i saw the bit mark Chris bitten me. Before i could say anything Sean pulled the trigger.
