*The Next Day*

Nobody's pov

Sam walks in the Shay's apartment wearing her jacket for later. Carly and Freddie were just watching figure skating compilations and being so shocked on their spins, turns, and maneuvering, while Sam was just slightly anxious.. "Who's the pro skater that's going to teach us some tricks and stuff?" she asked, "His name is Joel Minas" Carly answered her question and goes back to watching. (If you know who he is... you're a weeb that watches ice skating videos that remind you of Yuri on Ice) Sam walks over beside them on the monitor watching the video of the pro ice skater that sent them an email, "Woah that spinning jump thing is so cool and he did it twice!" Carly squealed, "Yeah that quadruple toe loop, double toe loop combination looks harder to do when you look at it" Sam nods her head and just focused on the screen, Carly and Freddie look at her in confusion, "I- uh I- I mean it looks quadruple because y-you know he did it twice" Sam laughs nervously, the two brunettes just nod and they go back to watching, Sam's eyebrows rose up when she saw him do a quadruple salchow.. they were all watching. They were nearing the end of the video when Sam slightly gasped at him doing a triple lutz, triple toe loop combination.. they all had their jaws dropped, Sam widened her eyes when she saw him do a quadruple flip, he fell but it was enough rotations..

The video ended, Carly, Sam, and Freddie were shocked that those were possible in ice skating... well.. Carly and Freddie were shocked those were possible but Sam was amazed how he did it. They were about to leave to meet up with Joel at the ice rink, it was rented out so that they could skate without being uncomfortable by fans skating up to them. The ride to the rink was silent, Sam was just staring out the window.. she never usually does that. Freddie pouted in concern, "Hey.. is there something bothering you?" he asked, Sam furrowed her eyebrows.. "N-no.. I'm just kinda nervous to *Nervously chuckles* you know.. skate" she replied while slipping in a slight laugh to make Freddie less concerned, he nods and sighed. Sam looked something up on her phone, she sighs and pursed her lips and looks out the window again while putting her phone back on her lap.

Freddie's pov

There is definitely something bothering Sam.. is this still about her breakup? She said she was just nervous to skate, but I don't think that's all... I see her look something up on her phone, it was an article about something, I try to glance at it but it was too late... she already shut off her phone. I sigh and look at Carly, she also was furrowing her eyebrows in concern.. We both look at each other, sighed and slightly pout, looking back at Sam just looking out the window. Spencer saw this on the rearview mirror but didn't want to bother, his eyes kept shifting... This rarely happens to Sam unless it's something really deep.

*At the rink*

Nobody's pov

Sam, Carly, and Freddie walk in the rink, Sam sighed while closing her eyes.. they all walk to greet Joel, "Hey! It's so nice to meet you!" Carly shakes his hand, "It's so nice to meet you guys too.." Joel smiled, "Uh.. you guys should put your skates on first.. I'm going to be teaching you some tricks, practices and maybe... you can skate to a song later" he added, Carly and Freddie put their stuff down and puts their skates on. "Okay, so you don't want me to tell them I know you? And.. why'd you quit ice skating?" Joel muttered to Sam, she doesn't give any eye contact.. "Because I wasn't good enough.. remember that time when I skated to a song you wanted me to do... well, I had no emotion in that. I know the meanings but.. I never felt THAT way about somebody" Sam implied, "Plus.. I keep tripping and falling" she added, "It's because you were tired from all the practices everyday.. but I've seen you do it on your own time and you were amazing. Just believe in yourself... this isn't the confident Sam everybody knows.." Joel replied.. Sam sighed.. "I can't do it today.. maybe I'll just go with some of your methods while teaching Carly and Freddie.. but I'm not doing a routine" she walked passed him, sitting down and puts her skates on.

Joel sighed and shakes his head. While waiting for the three to put their skates on... he walks into the rink and does the routine Sam tried to keep doing before she quit. Carly, Freddie, and Sam watch him.. the two brunettes' jaws drop, Sam gently smiled with one side of her mouth.. the three of them went to onto the ice. "Wow you're amazing!" Carly exclaimed, "*chuckles* Thanks but it isn't my original routine.. I did it just now because my friend didn't really want to continue it before..." Joel implied hinting that the friend was Sam. "Okay so I assume all of you know how to skate forwards and backwards am I right?" He changes the subject asking them to confirm his question, they all nod. "Good.. so I'm going to teach you how to do forward crossovers"  he implied while showing them how to do it.. well... showing Carly and Freddie how to do it, Sam just sat this one out.. Joel didn't really mind since he knew she can already do it.. I mean for goodness sake.. she can do flips, axels, salchows, and more. 

Carly and Freddie were practicing how to do it. Sam skates up to Joel.. "So... technically you're teaching them since I already know how to do it" she muttered, "Yup.. but... you should really do a routine later, I mean.. I'm going to make them do one. Why don't you do the routine that was specifically choreographed for you." Joel replied and suggested, Sam shakes her head.. "No.. I'm not doing it.. I don't know the mea-" she gets cut off, "Yes you do... and the song "Tagpuan" even though it isn't in English... you can still understand it. It's about finding THE ONE.. a.k.a like your soulmate, like finding your true love at the right time. Which I assume it's Freddie.. you both just give me soulmate vibes" Joel chuckles, "*Groans* Fine...? I guess? I'll think about it"  Sam sighed and they went to look at Carly kind of getting the hang of it, Freddie was still wobbling and falling though.

"Sam! Why aren't you practicing the forward crossovers? Come onnn" Carly whined and skates back sighing, Sam looks at Joel, "Thank Chiz I can act like I can't skate.. I guess I'll "Practice" now" she muttered to him and skates to Carly and Freddie, Joel chuckles.

*3 hours later*

"Okay since I've taught you guys different elements in figure skating... we'll combine those into a routine that you will do later.." Joel implied, Carly and Freddie were shocked but slightly excited, "The song is called Tagpuan.. it's in my language.. in tagalog, it's the routine I did awhile ago. It's about finding your true love at the right time.. like finding your soulmate. Carly I'll help you choreograph your routine for it first but you can add some moves or change some of your arm movements. Got it?" Joel asked her, Carly smiled and nods.
