Harry was feeling completely and utterly dejected.

It had all started when he was sent to his room last night. He had walked in to find a very strange creature bouncing on his bed. When he noticed Harry, he seemed to act as if Harry was some sort of lord.

The creature called himself Dobby, and he didn't want Harry to go back to Hogwarts this year. In fact, he was desperate. But, for Harry, Hogwarts was his home. He was a little bit angry at his friends for not writing once to him over the summer, but he still wanted to learn more magic.

Then, Dobby had guiltily pulled out a stack of letters, some from him to his friends, some from his friends to him. Dobby said that he was going to do something bad to make him stay home if he didn't agree to it. Of course, Harry didn't want to stay at the Dursleys' all year, so he refused. So Dobby wandlessly dropped a cake on one of the Dursleys' house guests.

You might be thinking, "well, since the Ministry can't detect wandless or non-verbal magic, Harry'll be fine, right?"

Wrong.

Harry received a warning for 'the use of a hover charm'. He assumed that was Dobby's plan all along, and he wanted to be angry with the elf, but he seemed to really care about Harry's wellbeing, if not a tad too extreme about it.

Vernon had went completely mental and barred up Harry's door and window, and locked him completely in his room, occasionally slipping him a pile of cold food that Harry hated- but he ate it anyway. Otherwise he'd starve. Sometimes the door would unlock, but that was only if Dudley needed boxing practice.

Harry woke up in the middle of the night, too tired to stay awake more than two minutes after he randomly awoke. Harry felt his ribcage protruding from his skin and groaned- he wasn't getting enough food to live healthily. Harry curled himself up into a ball and lied on his bed, just hoping that tomorrow would be easier.

Harry had a horrible dream that night. He was in a big cage, and people from all around the world were goggling at him, all kinds of massive eyeballs that annoyed Harry. Except those big brown ones in the centre. They reminded him of Hermione. Then, he finally forced his eyes to open, shutting the dream out altogether and leaving the dream realm.

But those big brown eyes were still watching him.

They were outside his barred window, seemingly flying on air. Harry shook his head to get rid of them, but they didn't go away. Then, slowly, a body came into form. Then, Harry slowly realised that Hermione Granger was outside his window.

The smile on his face barely fit as he realised that he wasn't still dreaming. Then, two ginger heads popped up next to Hermione's. They slowly contorted into shock as they looked at his room.

"Blimey, Harry."
"What happened here?"

"Hermione, what are you doing here?" Harry asked, still believing that he was hallucinating.
"What are we, chopped liver?" The twins said at the same time. Harry rolled his eyes.
"Hello to you two too." He said. Then, Fred pulled out a hook and they drove- drove?! Ah, a flying car. Just when Harry thought magic couldn't get any weirder.

The bars were pulled off with a loud clang, completely crushing a large bush in the lawn. Luckily, the Dursleys were still asleep.

"I'll get your trunk." George was already on his way down.
"Watch the trick step- you'll know it when you see it." Harry was relieved to hear absolutely nothing until George made it back.

They got Harry's trunk in the car, and by now Harry was pumping adrenaline with the excitement.

However, as Harry passed Hedwig over to Hermione, she let out a loud shriek.
