If you didn't see the other thing I made, I got this huge spark of motivation and started a new story. The problem is, I have next to no idea where I want to go with it. All I have so far is-

• It starts when Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire (no Ron this time sorry)

• I'm not sure what to do with the ship but with the way canon flows after this event and my personal preference I was going to do Harry and Hermione because I'm used to writing that but a few people mentioned Daphne Greengrass, a girl that I believe was mentioned once in the entirety of the Harry Potter book series. I've read a few fanfictions that use her character and while portrayals vary, Daphne's common appearance, although never actually stated in the books, is straight blonde hair with piercing icy blue eyes.

This is all pretty much fanon though and it made me realise that we don't actually know that much about Daphne at all- not even her middle name- in fact, we know more about her sister Astoria, who had the privilege of marrying Maco Dralfoy. By all means, I could make Daphne a 4'2 ginger with dark brown eyes and glasses, but I'm not gonna do that because nobody would recognise her and everybody would hate that, even if it would be funny.

Daphne could be cruel, vindictive, manipulative and prejudiced, or she could be kind, level-headed and generally easy to talk to. Most people have her as this type of pureblood princess that refuses to take her place and doesn't back down from people like Draco Malfoy or anybody else she tends to piss off in these stories by hanging out with Harry Potter. I get the feeling that I'm going to write her in a similar way, but I might make certain tweaks or alterations where I see fit, for example I think she'd still be slightly prejudiced, though not unhealthily so, and I think she'd initially believe the word of Slytherin that Harry Potter is nothing but an attention-seeking brat with no real magical power or talent, but I also think she'd be smart enough to recognise when she is proven wrong.

The concept of writing Daphne is admittedly quite exciting, because like Harry, there's a lot of room to pay around, and even with Harry I had to ease into it slowly so he still fit into his character, with Daphne there is no character to fit into except the one we seem to have agreed upon.

I seem to have gotten distracted, it appears that I do have ideas where I want to go with it, but I'm still feeling uncertain so I'm going to let everybody here decide. There's a lot of options, some will be harder to write than others but whatever you choose I'll do my best to deliver. Like I see a lot of stories where they don't let Harry be alone or they only list a few people, and while personally I prefer a romantic aspect in my stories I'll forgo it if you guys want that. Now, for the question.

Who do you want Harry to be paired with?

• Hermione Jean Granger (the GOAT in my opinion)

• Daphne Something-Or-Other Greengrass (the mystery girl)

• Both (Yep, don't think I don't see you munchkins)

• Neither (Someone else?)

• Nobody (Harry is a loner)
