Pavement neared his home when he heard roars and yowls, he skidded to a stop. "C-C-Cre-Cream? What is happening?" Cream's pale face became even paler.

"I don't know!" Cream stuttered. They slowly entered and stayed in the dark. As they near the yowls, Pavement can make out the fighting figures.

"Why! Why did you have to do that! Why!" a voice cried. That is Frosty.

"Lily! My precious Lily!" that voice...no doubt...that is Snow. Cream tensed.

"You killed her! You killed your own mate! A daughter! A sister! A mother!" Frosty yowled. Pavement stumbled he leaned onto Cream. Scotch ran.

"Scotch! Wait!" Rose followed him. Pavement couldn't hold it anymore. He and Ivy sprinted to their mother's side.

"P-P-P-Pa-a-v-v-ment. Take care of your littermates. I love you all..." That was her last words. Lily...is truly dead.

"Mom! Mom! Mom!" Pavement wailed. "You can't leave! Mom!" Scotch whimpered. Rose buried her muzzled into Lily's fur. Pavement didn't notice Cream and Silver next to them.

"Pavement. I'm so sorry." Cream closed her eyes. Two teardrops fell from her eyes. Silver hung her head.

"Oh, Lily! I'm so sorry! Hope you live a long life! May the sun warm your back and the fish leap into your paws," Silver said with pain in her eyes.

"Cream! Don't-" Cream whipped her head.

"What? What is that?" Pavement poked Cream.

"It's it's nothing." Cream licked him behind his ears. Pavement isn't convinced. He took the box he got from the markets and placed it next to Lily.

"Mom...I'm sorry. I got your favorites. Hope you like them, where ever you are..." Pavement sulked away with his tail tucked.

"Pavement? Where are you going?" Silver asked.

"Away. Chalk will try and kill us with Lily gone." Cream answered before Pavement can.

"But this is our home!" Ivy protested.

"It's not safe anymore. Chalk will try and will kill us." Snow whispered. "Frosty and I will be traveling back to our old territory. Cream and Silver will be with you." Cream had pain written all over her eyes.

"We will be leaving now," she said sternly. Her eyes traveled to the boxes of food they got. "And we'll be bringing those food." Cream looked at the old pillow. Pavement turned back.

"What are you doing?" Pavement asked.

"We'll need to rip the pillow." Cream said.

"What! You can't rip our pillow!" Ivy threw herself over the pillow.

"We need the cloth. Instead of dragging the boxes, we'll place food in the cloth. Six pieces of cloth and everyone will get the same share." Cream beamed. "We'll be leaving this place and into the forest!" Silver gasped.

"Yes! Of course!" Silver smiled. Ivy reluctantly got off the pillow. Cream tore at the cloth. She then filled the cloth with food and Pavement put the end of the cloth into his mouth. The others did the same and headed out into the direction of the lake...
