"You're my grandfather!" Pavement yelped. Timberclaw chuckled.
"Yeah. It's pretty confusing." Timberclaw chuckled.
"Tell me the whole story!" Pavement demanded.
"Sure! Do you want me to start when I first met Elkstar?" Timberclaw asked.
"No! Why Cream has a clan name and why Snow and Frosty aren't my grandparents!" Pavement exploded.
"I know, I was just teasing." Timberclaw nudged him. Pavement sat back down again. "Cream or Creampool back then...lived a medicine cat life. She was the greatest warrior but then Starclan told her to become a medicine cat. She was great at the job, but there was one thing. Creampool wanted a mate, some kits, she and a tom named Flamesoar had a litter of kits. Silverdawn was also a medicine cat. They promised to keep them a secret, but the guilt clawed at Creampool. She begged Silverdawn to believe her. Their sister was enraged to find that her sisters had broken the code, but agreed to their plan. They truthfully told what happened, Flamesoar was outraged. His mate had spilled their secret. He pounced at Creampool. He tried to kill her, but his father blocked him. Flamesoar almost killed Creampool, but his father shoved him aside. Flamesoar's mother helped his father kill Flamesoar, saying that he deserves to be in the Dark Forest. She killed Flamesoar on the spot. Creampool welled up with tears. She is said she is leaving. Silverdusk and Lilypool followed her. Snowcloud and Frostwhisper followed too. They were Flamesoar's parents. They both became Snow and Frosty." Timberclaw slumped.
"Who are Creampool's kits though?" Pavement pestered him.
"If I say it, you wouldn't believe it," Timberclaw said solemnly.
"Just say it." Pavement looked at him with pleading eyes.
"Dockpaw and Tansypaw." Timberclaw exhaled.
"What about Daisypaw?" Pavement gasped.
"She is their foster sister. They refuse to think that Daisypaw isn't their sibling." Timberclaw shook his head.
"So-so-so I'm half clan cat!" Pavement exclaimed.
"Sort of." Timberclaw shrugged.
"Can I stay?" Pavement asked.
"For only a short time. No matter where you go, or what happens, we'll be on your side." Timberclaw nudged him.
