Jacob and Renesmee: Part 1

Jacob

Two things are happening today. First, Nessie is acting super weird towards me. Second, I am feeling feelings for Nessie that were not there yesterday. As soon as I saw her in her bedroom, I hit my head off the door frame like a moron! I haven't done that since they first moved into this tiny ass cottage.

Nessie looks so beautiful. All I want to do is run my fingers through her hair and give her delicate kisses. Everything about her makes me weak to the knees. Even when she drinks iced blood for breakfast. I want to taste the blood from her lips. Normally, I would rather have her eat human food than drink the blood. That's the least of my worries now. I just want her near me.

Why is this happening? I knew it would happen eventually, but this soon? She just turned mature a week prior to her seventh year here on earth. I figured my feelings for her wouldn't grow this fast.

Then Alice decides to tell Edward and Bella about 'adult things'. I have a feeling it's about Nessie because Alice looked straight at her and I'm about to get some answers.

Nessie doesn't give me one last glance before she reaches her circle of friends sitting on the sidewalk. That breaks my heart. I hate teenagers nowadays. One of them is sucking face with a guy, the other is smoking. I can't believe these are the girls she chose. At least the other one seems normal. I wouldn't doubt it if she has the alcohol in her backpack. I told Nessie this was a bad idea, but noooooo, we just had to go to public school.

Then this guy appears, throwing his arm around Nessie. Hell, no! She's mine.

Nessie must hear me open my door. She gives me a 'stop' look. Great, I'm crushing on her and she doesn't feel the same way.

I wait until Nessie is in the school and gone from my vision before I speed off to the bloodsuckers.

I only spot Edward in the cottage.

"Where's Bella?"

"Her and Alice went out. It's just me." He looks up at me. "Why would Bella kill you?"

"I really hate that you can read thoughts." I sit on the couch and put my head in my hands. "I have a feeling I may be starting to like Nessie more than what I used to."

"We knew this day would come. I have to admit, that was faster than I thought it would be."

"Yeah, no kidding. I don't know what happened. I took one look at her and she was a completely different person today."

"I'm proud of you Jacob. You've been such a blessing for all of us. I'm glad Ness will always have you. I wouldn't choose anyone else. No matter what Bella says, she will be happy. It may take her a lot longer to feel okay with you and her daughter. In the end, everything will be okay."

"So, I have your blessing to fall in love with your daughter?"

"Would my opinion matter?"

"No."

Edward gives a small laugh. "I'll talk to Bella."

"Talk about what?"

Bella walks through the door holding a tiny bag. "I bought Ness a couple more charms for her bracelet." She holds up the bag.

Edward kisses Bella. I can't wait until that's Nessie and I.

"Jacob is growing romantic feelings for Nessie."

Bella looks at me stunned.

"I-But-Her birthday-" She can't find the words.

"We know." Edward says.

"Does she know?"

"No."

"Jacob, I'm not mad. It's a little awkward considering you were my best friend and now you have feelings for my daughter. I'll be okay. I'll pick her up from school and have a chat with her."

"Good idea. See if you can figure out how she feels. From what Alice said, I think she's on the same path as you, Jacob."Edward comments.

"What did Alice say?"

"That's a family secret we aren't telling you." Edward says.

"Fine. Then I'll be in Nessie's room dreaming my own future up with you bloodsuckers."

I do dream.

I dream Nessie and I are finally together.
