"I can't believe she's already graduating." Bella says.

"You only enrolled her for one year. What did you expect was going to happen? That I would knock her up and she had to drop out?" I joke.

"Gross."

Bella can't get over the fact that her daughter and I will be sexually active. It hasn't happened yet. I think Bella has some relief about that.

I'm just as proud as the Cullens. I may be even prouder. I helped her study the majority of the time. Edward helped when I didn't know the answers. I feel like Nessie invited everyone. Sam and Emily are even here. I guess her and Emily did become close. Seth sits beside me and Leah on the other side of him. I can see Seth begging to come because he's getting frustrated with not finding anyone to imprint on.

The music for the ceremony starts to play. Nessie is first in line because she managed to get Valedictorian. Her and some other girl were battling it out the whole school year. Nessie deserves it more, anyway.

She walks up to the podium and begins her speech.

"Forks High School, I am honored and grateful to be standing up here to be your Valedictorian. This is my first year here and in public school overall having been homeschooled my whole life. I begged my parents to enroll me. I know, what was I thinking? I love my family with all my heart, but I wanted something new. As the days to the beginning of school drew closer, I wasn't sure how I was going to manage it. Was I going to make friends? Was I going to be accepted? What if I couldn't handle the transition? All these questions flowed through my head but quickly vanished when I found a group of friends to hang out with. Not a lot of students probably say this, but I enjoyed being here. I enjoyed learning in a new environment. I am glad I have you all to be a part of my life and I am excited to see where the future leads us all. I hope we all remain in contact with one another. Many of you have been through this journey since kindergarten. I hope you get to continue that journey. I hope we all create new memories consisting of new friends as well as old, family, and adventures of a lifetime. Parents, you all have done a wonderful job keeping us all going so we didn't quit when we felt like it. You push us to our best, punish us for the knowledge, and bless us with your love. Significant others, you walk by our side through the ups and downs of the rollercoaster of life. Grandparents, you give us the understanding of right vs. wrong and then spoil us with gifts we don't even deserve. Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, we are grateful to have you to look up too and to grow up with, having best friends right at our fingertips. We at Forks High have a small part of our lives ending tonight, but we have a whole future awaiting us. Thank you."

I may have had some tears forming in my eyes. They may have reappeared when her name was called and she grabbed her diploma. They also may have slipped after she turned her tassel to the other side of her head.

"Oh my god!" Seth quietly exclaims. I look at him. "Wait, never mind. I thought I was having an imprinting moment."

After the ceremony, we all waited for Nessie. Of course, I got the first hug from her.

"I'm so proud of you." I kiss her.

"I'm glad it's all over."

She hugs everyone else. As we all talk a girl walks up to her with more grace in her step than any of the other girls. She keeps her head high and posture stiff. Her blonde wavy hair flows down past her hips. She's also pale. Too pale, in fact.

"Renesmee, I came to tell you that your speech was excellent. Congratulations once again on becoming valedictorian."

"Thanks." Nessie says. "Your speech was even better."

"I am having a graduation party for selected people only if you would like to come with your family. It would be a great honor to have you. It will be on June tenth at one. It is the white house down Akrin Street."

"I hope to come."

"Goodbye."

She walks back to a couple that does not look like her at all.

"Who was that?" Edward asks. Everyone except for Charlie, my dad and Sue are watching this strange girl.

"That's Mallory Den. I beat her out for valedictorian. The school chose me because of the whole grade skipping thing."

"Edward don't tell me." I speak up.

"Yep. She's exactly like us."

"Should I go to her graduation party? She invited us."

"We will go." Carlisle says. "We need to understand why they are here."

"Can't wait to see what a bloodsucker party is like."

"Let's just enjoy the rest of the night." Nessie smiles, taking my hand. I plant a kiss on her head.

The porcelain doll is still staring at us. The couple that was with her is nowhere to be found. I walk with Nessie out of the school. I still feel the girl's eyes burning at the back of my skull.

"Does anyone want to eat? I'm starving." Charlie announces to us.

"I could eat. I'm starving. Wait," Seth freezes at a girl that stares at him. "Dang it!"

"Stop trying to force it, buddy." I pat him on the shoulder.

"You guys go. Edward and I are going home. I'll see you later." Bella hugs her daughter one last time. "You are the best daughter anyone could ever ask for." She whispers in Nessie's ear.

"I wouldn't want another mom on the planet."

"Have fun."

"Who's in for some steak? The diner is still open." Charlie says as he walks hand-in-hand with Sue.
