W/N- So this is the last dream and the title is 'Where The Sun Rises, Darkness Follows.' Again. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Suddenly, a blinding light fills the room, leaving me dazed and warm. I timidly open my eyes to see nothing but the white light and my mirror frame.
I step out of the mirror frame, glass and sand crunching underneath my bare feet. I walk out into the bright light, trying to find anything. After what seems like ten minutes, I decide to take off my blood soaked sweats and tank top, revealing my scarred body.
I turned around, feeling detachment issues, and headed back to my mirror. But it wasn't there. Instead, a sunflower took it's place. Great! Another bloody flower!
"Oh, don't get too excited, James. This dream is about the fear of loss, and remember, Where the sun rises, darkness follows." the voice says.
"Did you just make a Batman reference?" I question.
"Nonsense! We're just smart like that. Now, I need to be going. I have a zumba class that I must attend. The teacher is such a cutie!" the odd voice giggles. I sigh in response to the weird creature that is my mind.
I look back at the, no my, flower. My flower should have a name, I hall name it sunny! I walk back to the area, determined to pick up that flower, too. I begin to move the rose with Nathan's chrysanthemum but his flower begins to close up again.
"And they have to be kept separately." I grumble. I look down on my sunflower, disappointed at the fact that I can't hold it, too. Angrily, I turn around, ignoring my flower. It can sit there and think about how much of a fuck up it really is!
After a while of silence, I feel the lonely sunflower's sorrow. Now what do you do when you can't hold a lonely sunflower? You sit on it, obviously.
I plop down on the large plant to have my ass stabbed by a million tiny seeds. That's when I feel something cold wrap around my ankle. I look down to see chains sprout up from from sandy ground and wrapped themselves around my limbs.
"BAD SUNNY!" I scream, trying to flee from the awful chains. Unfortunately, more chains sprout up, pulling me back down to the ground.
"DAMN YOU SUNNY!" I yell, struggling to find my barrings. Finally, I give up and let the chains engulf my body.
Oh no, please no, not this. My shitty sundae gets topped by the need to scratch my nose, what a cherry! Despite myself, I attempt to scratch my nose but... my hands aren't tied.
I move both my hands towards my face but can't quite go the full distance. Well these flowers can. I move the rose and the chrysanthemum then scratch my nose. As soon as the smell hits my nose, my stomach growls with hunger. Maybe I have to eat the flowers.
I sloppily shove the flowers in my mouth, biting at the stem. Bam, that's it. This is all over, right?
"Good job, James. You've successfully saved yourself and you can stop one of those dreams from happening. Which one?" the voice asks.
"Umm, the fear of love." I say.
"Are you sure?" he asks.
"Absolutely. There is no questions about my answer." I yell.
"Very well then. I need you to do one thing. Kill Nath-" "What! I can't kill Nathan!" I cry.
"What if it's in his best intentions?" my mind asks as the area around me changes. Before I can ask anymore questions, I see Nathan's lifeless body lay in a hospital bed.
"Nathan," I whisper as the sea of tears begin to flow down my cheeks. I move my hand to touch his face but find a gun in my hands. I looker closer to see I only have four fingers. It's just a dream, Jay.
"It's only a dream," I whisper.
"Don't be silly, James." my mind assures me.
"IT'S ONLY A DREAM!" I bellow, trying to get out of this predicament.
"I won't HURT HIM!" I continue.
"Jay, can you hear me? It's just a dream." the voice says.
"What?" I sigh, exasperated at the fact that my mind has... well, changed.
"Jay, I need you to kill Nathan." my mind insists.
"No, no, no! I won't kill NATHAN!" I cry hysterically.
"Just wake up." I hear Nathan instructs.
"Just wake up." I repeat quietly. "Just wake up. Just wake up! Just. Wake. Up. Please just wake UP!" I scream with growing momentum until finally I wake up to a million questions and no breath.
"Jay are you alright?" "What happened?" "You're okay, you're with me now." That last one was Nathan. I nuzzle the top of his head as he rocks me back and forth, protectively.
I look around to see Siva and Nareesha next to me, Tom and Kels at the edge of the bed, Max M.I.A., and Nathan underneath me, rubbing my back soothingly as he whispers sweet nothings into my shoulder.
"Jay, are you alright?" Nareesha asks, fear and worry filling her voice.
"Oh yeah, I just had a bad dream... or three." I cough uncomfortably.
"Three?" Tom gasps before Kelsey hits him.
"Yeah, it was very odd. In the first dream, me and Nathan were getting married but I didn't quite... know so I said no." I said, though it sounded like a question slightly.
"What do you mean you didn't quite know?" Nathan asks.
"I was shocked that it was happening out of nowhere. I just wasn't ready, I guess." I defend myself.
"Cool, next dream." Tom ordered. I contemplate my options seeing as telling them about my father just is not an option. I'll just skip to the-
"Jay? Y'alright?" Nath asks timidly, interrupting my thoughts.
"Hmm? Oh yeah, I was just thinking about how I had gotten attacked by a sunflower-" "Wait! Was his name Sunny?" Nath interrupts me again.
"Wait! You know Sunny, too?" I ask.
"No, that's just what you said before you punched me in the ribs. Next dream." Nathan chuckles lightly.
"Okay, so the next one I, umm... had to kill Nathan." my voice dropped to a whisper.
"Did you?" Nathan asks sadly.
"Absolutely not!" I gasp, offended that he would jump to such a conclusion.
"I just thought-" "Well you clearly thought wrong! I would never kill you." I yell when Nathan gives me his devastatingly innocent, puppy eyes. I yelled at him. I did the one thing I promised I'd never do again.
"Nathan," I whisper as he shakes his head disappointingly.
