Chapter 4: Sunday school

“I still don’t get why we have to go to Sunday school,” I mutter at Xander who is sitting next to me at the backseat of Nate’s Audi R8. He looks at me and smiles.

“Just shut up and you might actually learn something,” he mutters back and I roll my eyes. I look out and noticed all the people out on the street walk gawking at Nate’s R8. Its very rare for them to see cars like this. Well, we have a lot of rich people here too but they try not to flaunt it. Nate on the other hand, just loves rubbing it on everybody’s faces.

I dozed off for a few minutes. I mean seriously, people usually sleep in on Sunday. Nobody wakes up at 7 am just for Sunday school. Sunday means lazy day. There should only be 5 days of school, not 6. I can’t believe Xander dragged me into this. He also convinced my sister to go to that stupid Sunday school via Nate.

I was soon woken by Xander. He was shaking my shoulders to wake me.

“We’re here,” he says then climbs out of the car. I climb out as well and look at the old white building. It looks like a mini church. My sister intertwines her arms with mine and we both walk with Xander and Nate beside us inside.

I noticed that Nate also glows or is it an aura. I don’t know. His is fiery red. I guess maybe it means he’s hot in a physical way (which he is and we all know it) or maybe he’s hot headed. Either way, I don’t care but it’s getting annoying.

I’ve also been seeing this with Ariel when I spy on them. Okay, I’m still doing it even though Roxie stopped and told me to stop as well. I can’t help it. I’m weirded out by the fact that I can see their aura. Maybe I am physic. I should probably join the circus and call myself ‘Madam D.’ Yeah, that’d be good and then I can tell people their future via their aura.

But what’s weirder is that I only see it on certain people. People who are otherworldly equally weird in general. For example, Xander.

When we enter the mini church, we saw a couple of kids near our age group around us. There were a lot of girls from our school. I’m guessing it’s either because they found out that Nate was coming or they’re just really interested. When they spotted us, all eyes landed on Nate. Nate winked on some of the girls and they blush and giggle. I roll my eyes. Really? At a church? Seriously?

Roxie and I sat at the very back, Xander joins us. Nate leans down between my head and Roxie’s to whisper.

“I just have to find my sister. I’ll be back later,” he says then winks at Roxie who blushes ferociously. I whip my head to Xander’s direction.

“You didn’t tell me she’d be here!” I hissed at him and he raises his hands in mock defeat. I roll my eyes at him.

“Can you two quit bickering,” a low, compelling voice said behind us.

I turn to look and saw Gabriel. He’s wearing a tight T-shirt that shows off his perfect physique, faded jeans and Chuck Taylors. In fact, he dresses a lot like Xander but the difference is, he’s hotter while Xander’s cuter. His hair is sideswiped to his left, it looks like bangs, okay, and I’m not comparing him to beiber, because he has better hair, but it sorta looks like that in a weird way. But okay, his hair is better. I’m just giving you an idea.

He has his hands folded behind his back and he’s wearing a stern expression. I am suddenly speechless. He’s so good looking, it’s not normal! He’s so perfect in every way, and I hate it.

“What are you doing here?” Roxie says beside me. I’m glad she asked him that, because I was planning on asking him that but unfortunately, I’m speechless. He looks at her.
