backstory: (minor trigger warning for alcohol, abuse, and cheating)
River grew up in a slightly safe neighborhood, everyone was nice and supplied her family whenever they could. unfortunately, her family wasn't safe, her father was an alcoholic and abused River.

her mother gave absolutely no shits since she was screwing other men and abusing drugs. Oswald's mom found out about this and brought her into her apartment. River lived on the couch for months until she got a bed and lived in a small room that they put together.

one night, both Oswald and his mom went off on her for doing drugs in their apartment. she ran away for 3 weeks but came back and thought Oswald was dead. she had a mental breakdown and killed two people (they were her first kills).

River ran into Jerome one day when he came in for questioning. when he grew into his psychotic personality, she immediately fell in love with him. they became inseparable ever since.

Jeremiah is also in love with her, practically obsessed with her. when Jerome died the first time, Jeremiah tried to get with her, but she turned him down and ran off. when Jerome returned they were reunited and Jeremiah was pissed.
