3rd Person POV

"Congratulations, President Soot, the floor is yours." The curly-haired brunette shook hands with the former King, thanking him Dream quietly. Wilbur Soot stared at the podium before him, taking a deep breath as he stepped up, gazing at the people who put their trust in him. The man half glanced back at Tubbo and Fundy. The two were cheering excessively, smiling.

"Thank you," He held up a hand for silence, "I stand here today, as your new president, to rejoice with you, for our freedom. Two weeks ago, L'manberg was liberated from monarchy rule. We have been granted the greatest gift on Earth. Freedom. But with this new ecstasy, comes virtue. It now falls to us, as a union of people, that we do not let our errors define us. We must strive for greatness every day. And I swear an oath to you now, that as your President, I will ensure that this great ideology follows through."

He paused, swallowing nervously. He hadn't told anyone about the next part, not even Tubbo.

"My first act as President is to construct a monument to Tommy Innitson, the boy we owe our newfound freedom to and establish the Innitson Archive in his honor. He would want us to document our new life here. Tommy was too young when he was taken from us. But he died giving us our independence. Now every single one of us is indebted to him. We cannot forget his name. If it is not too much to ask, I would request a moment of silence in his favour."

The brunette blinked the blurriness from his eyes. The pain of losing Tommy had never quite gone away. He looked back at Tubbo and his brother, the former's eyes sparkling with tears as he stared gratefully back. Fundy also looked hopeful at the idea of the blonde boy's remembrance. After a sufficient quiet, Wilbur spoke again.

"Thank you, that will be all." He bowed his head and stepped down from the podium. He was barely able to walk inside before Tubbo engulfed him in a hug, thanking him profusely for his actions.

"He'd be cheering for you," Fundy assured the man.

"I know he would."

The trio lapsed into silence, reminiscing on the past few months. Together, they'd been through it all.
