This wasn't the first time Lynn had been to the other world, and she doubted it would be her last. At first glance, nothing could be seen that separates it from realitly, but the longer you stay, the more your brain can decipher each small difference.

No one else had ever been there, just Lynn. It was nice.

The sun never would rise, even if she stayed for hours. And oh the things she could create! It was limitless, as long as she could have the completed image in her mind, it would materialize at her will.

She stretched, only leaning forward again after her back gave the pops and cracks that she had been seeking out. Passing a mirror on her way to the door, Lynn had to backtrack and make sure it had really been herself in the reflection. Sure enough, someone she almost recognized as herself looked back with just as much alarm as she did.

Lynn's hair and eyes, before regular colors that were considered natural, were now a deep purple and sharp cyan. She ran a shaky figer across the silky hair, the purple stood out just as much as her eyes, they heavily shined with the blue color, making her put a hand to the cheek below it and moving the skin to test if it was actually real.

She couldn't remember how long she'd been staring, trying to change her looks like they had done by themselves, but today the dream world just wouldn't obey her. Maybe it found a new master, and this was just a parting gift? She willed herself to look away from the shining cyan of her iris.

Lynn walked outside, the air was sweeter here, and didn't stink like death was just around the corner, unlike her town in the real world.

Snow. Well that was new... The little flakes danced in the dark sky and fluttered down into the already large piles of snow that built up around her front door. Lynn caught a few on each hand and couldn't help smile, her town rarely ever got snow, but even when it did, it wasn't there for long.

Lynn couldn't keep the smile off her face as she walked, each of her shoes crunched down in the  frozen specks of water as she walked forward, no destination in mind.

She stopped to listen to the wind, her feet may have stopped, but the short but brisk footsteps made her aware of someone else who was here? Lynn quickly turned to the source of the noise, no one else was allowed here, this was her world!

And boy was she mad when she saw who it was.

"GODDAMMIT!"

She yelled, not directly at him, but Zim flinched anyway, falling over in the cold snow.

"I can't get a break from you in the real world, and now your taking over my world! GET OUT!"

Zim stood, brushing off the flakes of snow that collected in his hair, he stuttered a bit, not having seen Lynn this angry ever before, frankly it frightened him.

"I- w-wait, you would be making a mistake if you kicked me out!"

He raised both arms to show he wasn't there to hurt her, Lynn glared, but let him explain himself anyway.

"I don't have any idea how I got here, and I really regret everything I did, if you would just-" Zim reached out a hand to try and grab Lynn, the moment he touched her fingers, the space between them flashed brightly, as if lightning just stuck them.

Lynn covered her face with both arms held in an 'x' position, the light was so blinding that sqeezing her eyes shut was about as useful as holding them open.

Zim stumbled, his boots, obviously not made for ice, gabe way under his feet for a second time, making the snow hug him tightly once more. "Uhg.." he wanted to move, but his limbs had no such a plan.

Lynn took a step back, she held her tounge in an attempt to not laugh, but a few giggles slipped through.

"What was that?" Lynn completly ignored him, instead inspecting each finger as if they would generate the shock on their own. Zim hauled himself up, with little assistance from the human across from him. Zim was met with a fave full a facination, she looked more at ease now. He couldn't help to smile, her now cyan eyes sparkled more beautifly than he thought was possible.

She caught him staring with a doopy smile, and her face tured as cold as the ice they stood on.

"Do it again."

Zim blinked, her statement so unspecific he had to let his brain work out what she ment.

"I can't?"

Her eyebrows lowered, very unsure of himself now, Zim shifted his weight from foot to foot, trying to avoid the unforgiving gaze.

"I guess I could try? Not much to lose honestly.."

He placed his fingertips against hers, the light reappearing, but with less of a harsh entrance. It was more calm and steady than it was the first time.

Lynn traced her line of sight to his face, she loathed the way he was looking at her right now, what could she trust? Sure, she had overreacted a bit those few days after seeing him again, but who wouldn't in her position? She couldn't put the blame on him anymore, he tried to apologize, and that was a good start for now.

Zim felt the warmth in his hands, it spread up slowly, easing its way into his chest where it would spread rapidly. He just couldn't look away, her hair, her eyes... she was utterly perfect in every way. Not a single flaw came to mind when his head filled with thoughts of Lynn, the one human to make his cold heart open and reach out.

His eyes glossed over, not quite crying, but damn near close to it. Zim's heart gave many painful thuds, if it hadn't been for the cold air and snow falling gracefully onto his shoulders, Zim was sure he would have spontaneously combusted.

Lynn lowered her fingers into his, giving the other beings hand a light squeeze as to say, "it's okay now, I forgive you." He returned the squeeze, his face aluminated by the the pink across his cheeks.

The light glowed dimmer, changing colors until it was a deep red. The light trailed up each of their amrs and down to their chest, now more of a whisp than anything. The red glowed on their shirts for a minute, before slowly fading out, a small whisper left in its place,

"Don't trust...-"

The nearly silent voice was interupted by a loud clatter.

Lynn launched forwards, eyes still blurry with sleep, and head as confused as ever. Locating the source of the noise, Lynn watched as lottie tried their best to place the clean dishes in each  rightful space.

Lynn brushed the stray hair out of her eyes and lifted her aching body to go help her struggling roommate.
