(Small progress is made, Zim is still an idiot.)
Lynn had seen a lot of bullshit in her life, that was for sure. And usually, it was easy to deal with, or not panic to much about.
But this was just... something beyond what she had handled before. The house still stayed in it's mostly destroyed state, Lynn still waiting on the couch.
Zim was late, not by a few minutes, but several hours. The deal had been for him to arrive at around to same time, so lynn had gotten up at six, expecting him to do the same. Apparently his majesty had better things to do, and now it was three, not even a trace of Zim yet.
Four simple knocks had lynn shooting off he couch towards the door. What took him so long? She opened the door a little reluctantly, half expecting the figure to be someone else.
Much to her relief, the now discovered alien, who seemed to be missing of the disguise, stood starstruck in her doorway. Lynn pulled him inwards by the collar of his tunic, confused as to why he would be out in the open like that.
"What the hell! You know how long I waited on you!"
Lynn twacked his head with the back of her hand, Zim flinched but otherwise seeemed unfazed.
"Uh, busy with alien stuff... you look... nice?"
The room stayed silent for a moment, Lynn didn't react, Zim nearly expected to see sparks fly from her head.
"Yeah okay, none of this flattery bullshit, I invited you for answers, not flirting."
One of the antenna dropped lower than the other, portraying confusion? Sadness perhaps?
Not the time.
"Well.. what would you like answered first then?"
Her throat felt tighter, having an entire week to think of questions and her mind was nearly blank. Lynn swallowed thickly, asking the more blunt, expected question first.
"What is your reason for being on earth?"
Zim chuckled, he had been waiting on this one.
"At first, I came to invade. I wasn't the best, and the only defence earth had was a twelve year old child, so I'd consider the scales were fair."
He inhaled, listening to a birds song from it's perch on a tree. It was free to do as it pleased.
"I ended up getting some... information about my rulers and well...one thing led to the other and now I'm exiled to stay on earth."
Lynn felt something, a new emotion per say, that pulled at her chest, screaming to not let him suffer. It tugged hard, but she knew to stand ground.
"Next one then, out of all the humans, why show yourself to me?"
The voice roared again.
Don't be so insensitive!
"I.... you remember how I asked you about soulmates? Well with my species, it's a bit more literal. We only find a single partner, which is usually another irken, but I did some digging, and found it isn't too uncommon for us to... pair with others."
He stopped, looking up into Lynn's eyes as she watched. There was that feeling again, yelling to high hell about things Lynn wasn't even sure she understood.
Help him!
"Somehow I've matched with you, and I'm going to be honest, it's starting to physically harm me to not be in your presence. And it will continue to be this way until I mark you."
Mark? Lynn could have filled an entire dictionary with what that possibly ment, most if not all of them being more suggestive than others. She kept her mouth running instead with the next question, trying to make it not awkward.
"Eh, so marking means... what exactly?"
Zim propped up an antenna, just his expressions made her feel stupid, as if she should know about this completely foreign concept.
"I would put a symbol into your skin, whether it be by teeth or claws that is your personal choice. Oh and of course you would mark me too! Though humans really don't have claws..."
The purr died off his lips as he trailed on, already excited thinking about the many ways there was to mark her...
Lynn shivered involuntarily, cheeks warming in the slightest. She had tried to stay on topic to the best of her ability at least. Each leg now tingling with sleep, Lynn took a seat on the couch, patting it for Zim to join.
"So you aren't... in any pain right now, are you?"
He waved it off simply, leaning back into the cushions in a carefree manner. The light relfected on his eyes, the room's brightest colors couldn't compare to those rubbies.
"Never been better."
A cheeky smile, small but there, graced his mouth, one that reminded Lynn of the way he was in class against the teacher. Always questioning everything.
He isn't unattractive
Lynn felt her cheeks flood with blush once again. The damn voice made her more flustered than her own impure thoughts. The tight grip it held made lynn feel like Zim could just peer into her soul.
One of his hands rested on her upper thigh, not enough to be worrying, but too much to go unnoticed.
"Could I..."
The hand was quickly removed, instead placed on one of Lynn's. Zim sounded anxious, the movements wouldn't have given it away, but the shaking of his voice did.
Lynn thought she would pass out when it hit her, the voice had practically taken control, if that was even possible.
Let him
No, this felt so wrong, but so right too. Zim's hand trailed up and down her arm, he placed his face to her chest, breathing deeply.
"Zim.."
He continued, either not hearing her or just ignoring the noise altogether. A serpents tounge slithered from his mouth, Lynn jolted in surprise, hair on the back of her neck standing in alarm. This isn't normal!
But let it be
"Zim."
Louder than she had been before, voice more firm, though he still didn't listen, the tongue found it's way to her neck, sliding across the collar bone, Zim grunted, pressing his whole mouth to her neck.
"ZIM I SAID STOP!"
Managing to place both arms in between Zim and her own body, Lynn shoved him off before he could bite down, both falling in separate directions.
No!
Her chest was heaving violently, Zim quickly recovered, a more interally hurt body.
"What did I do wrong??"
Lynn sighed, pressing her palm to the temple. Thoughts still zooming by with every quickened breath.
"Humans apperently take things a lot slower than your kind do.. just... find someone who can explain what it means, I need some time to myself."
