Delilah's POV
"Why does this show have to be so good?" Daniella said as the next episode finished as commercials came on.
"Cause it's amazing," I tell her and stretch my back. We've been watching TV for a good hour and a half and my back got knots from sitting in one place for so long.
Dani rolled her eyes at my reply and grabbed her bowl and got more popcorn that she had made for herself.
Once my back was un-knotted -if that was even a word- and went to my bedroom and changed out of my clothes into a tank top and fuzzy bottoms since I wanted to get comfy on the couch.
As I walked out of the bedroom putting my hair up in a bun and went to the living room where Daniella was situated on the side of the couch and the next episode was just coming on.
"Boom!" I yelled as I jumped on to the couch in a cannon-ball formation. "Boom! to you to." Dani said while smiling to herself as the episode started.
While the episode continued I took my phone out and seen the wi-fi that we had -which wasn't much- wasn't on which confused me. Even if we only got one or two bars it shouldn't go off.
I turned my phone back off and looked back up at the tv and continued to watch Cobalt.
I heard some wind from outside and got up and went over to the window and seen a lot of wind was blowing and I quickly stood away from it.
"Delilah! Cobalt went off!" Daniella yelled and I turned around and seen that the show went off.
"Well it's windy outside so maybe it'll come back on in a few minutes." I said as calm as I could, but my voice wavered a bit at the end.
"I hope so, it was getting to the good part." she said and Dani frowned.
We sat on the couch and waited for the tv to come back on, but after almost a half an hour we had little to no hope. "This wind better go away, it's not fun." I said and Dani nodded her head.
"The weather channel said it would be very windy today. It was suppose to be very sunny that's all." Daniella added.
As we continued to wait for any sign, the sun seemed to fade away across the skyline and soon the moon came and illuminated the sky with the stars along with it.
"Well I give up, it isn't gonna come back on for a while," I said which really sucked. "Come on Lilah, just wait for just a few more minutes. If not, then we will just go." Daniella pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
I looked at her for a few seconds then I finally cracked under pressure. "Fine! We'll wait!" I yelled throwing my hands up. "Yes!" Dani exclaimed extending the 's' at the end to make it sound like a snake.
"But just for a few mo-" I said, but then the lights started to flicker and then they went out all at once.
Daniella and I stood just sat their in complete silence as the whole house was cloaked in darkness.
I blinked twice then said, "Screw this I'm getting candles." and stood up and maneuvered my way to find some candles.
