Delilah's POV
"What happened?" Mitch asked as I came closer to the living room with some candles in hand with a lighter.
"Nothing, absolutely nothing." Daniella quickly said and I quirked an eyebrow up and thought back to a tv show.
'When a person says absolutely not, that means their absolutely lying.'
But nothing should be wrong, it was just a quote from a tv show.
I lit the lighter and put it to the little thing that made the candle light and on came the candle.
I put it in front of me and I could see everyone was in the kitchen and smiled.
"So, now what should we do?" I asked as I lit some more candles and set them all across the living room and kitchen. "I don't know. Dani, Jerome, what do you guys think?" Mitch asked and I looked over at them but they had stone faced expressions.
"You guys?" I asked and walked up to them and snapped my fingers in front of their faces.
"What." "Huh." they both said and looked at me and I looked at them confused.
"You guys okay?" Mitch asked coming beside me.
"Yeah." Jerome said. "Never better." Dani said but her voice wavered and Jerome shot her a look which confused me even more.
"Well, how about we play some board games? Delilah, come with me." Daniella said and before I could say anything she grabbed my wrist and dragged me to our room.
When she let go I hissed in pain and looked down at my wrist and pulled my sleeve up, seeing some of my scars throbbing.
"Oh gosh Lilah, I'm so sorry. I didn-" Daniella said but I cut her off. "No, no it's okay." I said and put my sleeve from my shirt over it and started to look for some games.
As I looked in the boxes that we still had yet to unpack Dani just stared at me as I looked through each one. When I found 'Scrabble' and 'Monopoly' I turned and faced Dani.
"Are you sure you're alright Dani? Are you getting sick? Is something wrong?" I asked Daniella, worried she might be still scared from what happened.
"Absolutely not. Come on, let's go back to the boys and play some Scrabble!" she said with excitement but it seemed forced.
As we walked back to the living room where Mitch and Jerome were at I couldn't help but think of the quote again.
'When a person says absolutely not, that means their absolutely lying.'
But maybe it was just nothing. I mean, Daniella wouldn't be keeping secrets from me?
