Mitch's POV
"Naw" Daniella said happily, pulling the board from the box and spreading it on the table, "I'm perfectly fine"
"What about you Jerome?" Lilah pushed, Jerome looked around for a second.
"Guys" Dani said quietly, "I promise you, we are both fine" she smiled, "now let's play!"
I nodded as we started the game, about halfway through one of the candles blew out, not by accident, Lilah blew it out.
"Well Ima go grab the lighter that's in the kitchen" Lilah said quickly, she grabbed my arm and pulled me to follow her through the dark maze of house to the kitchen.
"Something is wrong" Lilah stated, "very wrong. Daniella tells me everything and as far as I know so does Jerome"
"Yeah.." I answered slowly, "I don't know what's up with them.."
I grabbed the lighter and turned it on, lighting up Lilah's face in front of me. "so how are we planning on finding out?" Delilah asked.
I shook my head, "it's nothing probably. I trust them, don't you?"
"Well of course-"
"Then we have no need to worry about them" I said, she nodded. We walked back into the living room to see Jerome and Dani in a heated conversation.
"No!"
"Uh, you guys okay?" I asked, they both turned to me.
"Yeah! Yeah yeah yeah... yeah" Dani said then trailed off.
"Okay.. shall we play?" Lilah asked clapping her hands together, they both just nodded.
We started the game again, Jerome and Dani stealing glances at each other. I looked up at Dani, her eyes catching mine before she looked away quickly.
I sighed and continued the game until Lilah spoke up, "Jerome are you sure you're okay?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm fine" he said too quickly.
"No you're not. Jerome I know your little tricks" I said, he looked at me then looked back down, "what's wrong with you Dani?" I asked.
"Mitch I told you, nothing is wrong" she said. I halfway believed her, but the other half knew it was bullshit.
Daniella spelt pie of o. The board then looked over at Jerome, I couldn't take it anymore. "What did I do!" I exclaimed.
"You didn't do anything-"
"I had to have done something Dani! You won't even look at me!" I spoke louder than needed, "what have I done.." I asked her quietly.
"You won't look at me either Jerome.." Lilah said quietly, "what happened?"
"Nothin-"
"IKissedDaniInTheKitchenAndSheKissedBack" he said quickly then started back and forth between me and Delilah.
"What.." Lilah and I said in sync, though we had both heard it perfectly clear. I looked at Dani who was refusing to look at me, then at Jerome who was scared but looked at Lilah with an 'I'm sorry' face.
Why did I trust them?
