Abducted!

part 10: ew hospitals

•Harper's pov•
        Where am i? oh i remember, dad found me last night. it was totally insane, but i'm glad i'm home, well in the hospital. ew i hate hospitals. i still had so many questions to ask, did they stop looking for me, we're all those things Mike said true, i don't think so but it could've been.

       who the heck is snoring, i ask myself. I look around and i see dad on the couch sleeping peacefully, this was probably the first time he's actually slept since i been gone. I'll sleep whenever i'm cuddled up next to my dad in his huge bed. i want to get up. i'm going to try. as i try i accidentally hit my hand against the hospital bed. whoopsies. Dad is starting to move around and wake up. Dang it i woke him up. "good morning sunshine" he says as he comes over by my bed. "sorry, i didn't mean to wake you" i say slightly angry with my myself.

       "There she is" Uncle Tonio says as he walks in smiling. "You don't know how much we missed you kiddo, that goes for everyone." he says and pats my shoulder. Uncle Antonio was always one of my favorite people, i could always tell him anything, he always took me places and bought me stuff.

       Uncle Will then walked in. "You're a very strong kiddo, you know? i nodded my head in agreement. "You have a mild concussion, fractured rib, and the rest is all bruises so you should be fine, it's nothing major, you just have to make sure Kelly looks after you good." "Oh trust me she's not leaving my side anytime soon" dad said and they laughed, i even let out a giggle.

       "Uncle Will, when can i leave?" "You can leave whenever you get ready kiddo" he replied. Thank god. "Daddy let's go pleaseeeee" "okay, come on he said and smiled".

       I walked out into the waiting room and seen everyone from intelligence. "There she is, you ready to leave yet Harp?" Uncle Jay asked "Yes please, i hate hospitals, they creep me out." i said and everyone got a laugh out. "same here kiddo, you must get it from me" Uncle Jay said smiling. "Where's the firehouse" i asked my dad. "well they don't know that we found you yet, what do you say about going to surprise them?" i grinned from ear to ear, "let's do it" i said and he scooped me up and we left.

       •Kelly's pov•
       I'm so glad we're finally leaving the hospital, but i'm way more happy we found Harper, i was compete again.

       I look over and see Harper hanging her head out the window like a little puppy, i laugh. She usually does this whenever we get in the car, she calls it "winding her face".

       Everyone at the firehouse is going to be so happy to see her, nobody knows that we found her yet.

       "Okay i have a plan" i say to Harp. "What's the secret mission daddy" she says grinning. "Okay i'm going to go in through the back by the fire trucks and you're going to come in a few seconds after me and after normal like you never left." "How do i do that" she asked me curiously. "Just walk in and go sit on the couch and change the tv channel like you normally do" "okay dad, this is going to be so much fun", she says and gives me a fist bump. We then pull up to the firehouse, i pull around back so nobody can see in, i begin to walk in the entrance, thankfully everyone is inside.

       "Kelly, what are you doing here, you're supposed to be at home until they find Harper." Chief Boden asks concerned. "I just figured it's time for me to come back" i said and tried to act casual, fighting the urge to smile. Everyone was watching me like i was crazy. Harper then walked in and everyone watched her in awe, she immediately went to the couch and changed the channel like nothing ever happened. I watched as everyone's jaw dropped. She then came and stood next to me, we couldn't fight the urge of laughing anymore so we busted out laughing while everyone was confused.

        "Y'all see her too, right?" Casey asks still in disbelief. "Hello i'm right here, i'm home" Harper says and then gets attacked with hugs. For a moment i kind of forgot what happened.

        "oh my gosh, when did she get home?" Brett asked while hugging Harper. "She got home last night." "Why didn't you call us?" Casey asked. "It was late and i didn't want to wake y'all." " Kelly we're family, it doesn't matter if you wake us, this was important." Cruz says while getting his turn of hugs. "I know i'm sorry, i should've called" i said. "At least she's home, where she belongs, what did the doctor say?" Hermmann asks. "um... she has a mild concussion, fractured rib, and some bruising, we just really have to keep an eye on her" i say as i give Harper a tickle attack. she giggles, i was so glad to hear that cute giggle again. "that's not too bad, did they catch the son of a bitch that did this?" Casey asks. "Yeah they did, he's locked up."

       "You gave us a scare little Harp, i'm so glad to see you again." Otis says and Harper gave him a hug. "Yeah, we went crazy the whole time you were gone, it's like we didn't know how to function, especially your dad" Stella says and looks at me.

       " From now on you're coming on call with us, you can sit in the truck but you're staying with us at all times." i say and go to rub her head. As soon as i went too close to her face she flinched. Damn it. "Hey kiddo, come here" i say and kneel down to be eye to eye with her. "i'm sorry i didn't mean to" she says shakily. "You know i would never hit you right? No one here would ever hit you, i'm so sorry for what happened but you have to trust me. We love you"  "you guys stopped looking for me, you stopped caring" she said and my heart begins to break. "who told you that?" i ask angrily. she jumps a little because i raised my voice but i didn't mean to. "Hey, i'm sorry i didn't mean to get loud with you but who told you that?" i ask again. "M-m-mike" she says shakily. "we never stopped looking for you, me, your dad, everyone in this room never stopped looking, we were literally going crazy without you" Casey says trying to help me out. "Mike lied to you Harp, he's a really bad man. I would never stop looking for you or stop caring, you're the most important person in my life, i'd do anything for you." i say. i feel myself tearing up. i look around me and see everyone fighting back tears. this is hard on all of us. "I'm sorry daddy, promise me you won't ever give me away." she says sobbing. i pull her into a hug and hug her tight, i never want to let her go again. "I promise you i'll never ever give you away, i love you babygirl." i say and start to silently cry with her. Seeing her like this breaks my heart.

       We left the firehouse and started driving home, i looked beside me and see Harp bouncing around in the passenger seat, she was truly a happy kid and i was so happy about that.

       "Go put on your pajamas and i'll come tuck you in, Okay?" i ask her as i finish putting up the dishes. "Okay dad" i heard her say while running down the hall.

       She comes back out with her pj's on and i scoop her up and tickle her, then lay her in her bed and tuck her in. I stayed with her until she fell asleep, she was asleep not even 5 minutes after i tucked her in, i stayed there and watched her sleep peacefully for a few minutes.

       I then went to lay down. I fell asleep knowing that my baby was safe.

        I woke up and heard Harper scream at about 2:32 am. i jumped up and ran to her room to see her crying with her head in her knees on the floor. "Hey, what happened babygirl?" i ask as she sits there shaking. "i-i-i had a bad d-dream" she answers sobbing. I pick her up and hold her. She lays her head down on my shoulder. "Do you want to come sleep with Daddy?" i ask her. "really i can" she asks. "of course" i say, she smiled and tightened her grip on me.

       i picked her up and walked to my room. i layed her down on the queen size bed and layed beside her. she crawled up and slept on my chest. she was asleep in 5 minutes and i drifted off soon after.
