•Kelly's pov•
I woke up with the sun beaming on my face, i then turn to find Harper. She's still sleeping, she looks so peaceful. She then rustles around, trying to wake up. She then looks at me with sleepy eyes. "Hey there" i say and rustle her hair. She rolls over and lays in my chest.

"We have a few things to do today" i say and bring her into a hug. "Ugh that means i have to get up" she laughs which makes me laugh. "Yep, have to go to the district and let Uncle Jay take your statement but first we have to go see Dr.Charles". "Why we have to see Dr.Charles?" "He needs to talk to you and make sure you're okay" "i'm okay, remember, i only got a few injuries and they don't hurt, so all good." she says with a smile trying to persuade me. i wouldn't make her go if it wasn't part of the process. "i'm sorry kiddo but Uncle Hank wants you to go." "Fine, i'll go get dressed" she said with a sigh and runs to her room. I got dressed and then we left.

She wore grey sweats and a light blue nike shirt, with her nike sneakers i bought her last Christmas. "Nice fit" i say and drive off. "Not to bad yourself" she says with a grin.

We pull up to Chicago Med and i pick her up and bring her inside. "ew hospitals" she mumbles. I laugh and tickle her.

"Kelly, Harper, come to this room right here and i'll get to you in just a second" Dr.Charles told us and pointed to a child's room painted light blue with butterflies. "Woah cool room" Harper said in awe. "Yeah it is a pretty cool room" i say and watch her play with the toy cars on the ground.

As soon as Dr.Charles comes in she immediately crawls back into my lap and hides her face. She's never been shy like this before. She is going to be a long road of healing for us both.

"Hey there Harper" Dr. Charles said trying to start a conversation. She just digs her head farther into my chest. "Kelly you need to step outside and let me talk to your daughter" He said firmly. "Yes sir" i say sarcastically.

I try to get Harper to sit down in the chair but she won't let me let her go. "No daddy, don't leave me please." she cries out. It hurts me because i know i have to leave her for a few minutes. "Come on Harp, i'm just going to be right outside. You know Dr.Charles, he's nice, he's not going to hurt you." she loosens her grip a little. "I promise it will be fine kiddo, you're safe now, i'll be right out the door and if you need me i'll come back in." She sighs and crawls down. She trust me again. "Okay see you in a few" i say and she nods.

I wait outside about 30 minutes and then she come running out. "Kelly i need to see you" Dr.Charles said and it kind of worried me. "Hey look there's Uncle Will" i say and she runs to him.

"Harper has a thing called separation anxiety, whenever you try and leave her she will freak out, it will slowly get better but it's a long process. She has severe trust issues, if you lose her trust it will be very hard to get it back. She trusts you the most but she also trusts the intelligence unit and firehouse 51. it's going to be a long process but it will get better." he tells me. My heart sank a little more, but at least she's home, that's all that matters. "Best advice is to take her out often so she can get used to other people, men in particular". i nod and agreement and we then leave.

"Daddy are we going to see Uncle Jay now?" She asks me. "Yes ma'am we are, after you talk to them we can get ice cream, if you want." i say. "Can Stella come?" she asks which kind of shocked me. I knew that they were close but i didn't know she wanted to be around other people yet. "Sure, we'll go by the firehouse and see if she wants to go." "Or we could buy a lot of ice cream and eat it at the firehouse" she says grinning and watching me. "That works too" i say and laugh.

"omg hey kiddo, you know how much i've missed you" Trudy says and pulls Harp into a big ole bear hug. "I missed you too, but you're squeezing me to death" Harper says and we laugh. "Come on let's go get this over with" i say still smiling.
