Taylor's eyes opened slowly, the sunlight peeking through the curtains. She felt a firm yet gentle grip around her, and turned slightly to see Joe there. She realized they must have fallen asleep while studying. She didn't mind, settling back into his arms.
Joe woke up a few minutes later, and seeing Taylor's eyes open, kissed the top of her head softly. Taylor turned around in his arms, cuddling her head into his chest. "We have school today," Joe mumbled into her hair.
Taylor groaned, "I don't want to go."
Joe chuckled, "I'm afraid that isn't an option."
Taylor rubbed her eyes, standing up, "Alright, well I need to grab my clothes from home."
She glanced at the clock, "We still have two hours till school starts."
"Want me to drive you to your house? We could also drive to school together," Joe suggested.
"Sounds good,"Taylor nodded.
"I"ll just get ready really quickly, then meet you downstairs," Joe said, already walking over to his closet.
Taylor nodded again, walking down the stairs to wait for Joe. Soon Joe walked down the stairs, walking over to Taylor who was sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone. "Ready?" Joe asked, leaning on the couch.
Taylor stood up, "Yup."
They walked out to the car, driving to Taylor's house. Taylor unlocked the door, and they walked into the house. Joe followed Taylor up to her bedroom, sitting on her bed. As Taylor changed, Joe averted his eyes, not sure that they were at that point yet.
After Taylor changed she sat down at her vanity, plugging in her curling iron. Joe stood behind her, leaning on her chair. "So why do you need to curl your hair if it's already curly?"
"Well for one it isn't quite curly, it's just wavy. It was a lot curlier when I was younger. And two, because my natural waves look like shit today," Taylor said, beginning to curl her hair.
Joe just shrugged, "I think they look nice."
Taylor blushed and shook her head, continuing to curl her hair. Joe moved next to her, kissing her cheek. Taylor giggled, "C'mere, let me try something."
She moved his head, and took a piece of his hair, curling it. After it was done she let it go, fluffing it up. Joe looked in the mirror, chuckling, "I think I look pretty dashing."
Taylor laughed, "You look handsome."
Joe smiled, before standing back up, letting Taylor finish her hair and makeup. Once she finished they walked back out to the car, getting ready to drive to school. They made small talk until they made it to the school, and they got out of the car.
They walked up to the front of the school, looking for Selena and Abigail. Selena and Abigail were at the flagpole, and Taylor and Joe walked over to them. "Hey!" Selena said, smiling.
"Hey," Taylor replied.
"Do you guys want to hang out after school?" Abigail asked. "I think Matt's coming too."
"Oooh Matt," Taylor grinned.
Abigail blushed, "Stop."
"I still can't believe you guys aren't official yet," Taylor rolled her eyes.
"I'm gonna be honest I never though Taylor and Joe would be official before Abigail and Matt," Selena laughed. "How long have Abigail and Matt been going out on dates? Four months?"
"Stoppp," Abigail put her head in her hands. "Let's talk about something else. Like Taylor and Joe! I can't believe you guys are dating now."
Joe grinned, wrapping his arm around Taylor's shoulders, "Yup."
