"So how was dinner with Hailey?" Taylor asked, leaning back on Joe's bed.Joe shrugged, "Fine. How was your girl's night?"
Taylor thought back to the conversation that had about Joe, "Good."
"Oh!" Joe stood up, walking over to her. "Here, I took a few hilarious photo's of the people's reactions to your lovely makeover yesterday."
Joe sat next to her, pulling out his phone and opening up the photo's app. Taylor burst out laughing at shocked face of an old woman and her husband, a little girl, and a middle aged woman. "Oh my gosh you have to send those to me."
"Will do," Joe chuckled. "So, any plans for today?"
"Nope, just relaxing," Taylor stretched her legs out, yawning. "What about you?"
"Hailey invited me for lunch with some of her friends, so I guess I'll go to that," Joe said casually, sitting down next to her on the bed. "Do you want to come?"
Taylor was slightly surprised, "Er, what?"
"To the lunch, do you want to come?" Joe asked again.
Taylor bit her lip, "I don't want to intrude. I don't think Hailey or her friends would want me there anyway."
Joe frowned, "I know you had some problems with them earlier this school year, but they told me themselves they were sorry and trying to make it up to you. I'm sure they'll love to have you at lunch. Here I'll even text her in advance."
"Oh, um, okay," Taylor said, still unsure.
"See! She said she'd love to have you come," Joe smiled at Taylor.
Taylor forced a smile, "What time are we leaving at?"
"Probably in like half an hour," Joe shrugged.
"I haven't even combed out my hair yet!" Taylor jumped out of the bed. "Couldn't you have told me this beforehand."
Joe chuckled, "My bad."
Taylor rolled her eyes, "Do you have a hairbrush? I don't want to have to walk home."
"Check the drawers, it's in there somewhere," Joe motioned to the cabinet.
Taylor shuffled through the drawers, "You are so unorganized."
"Not everybody is a clean freak," Joe joked.
Taylor huffed, finally finding the brush, "Whatever."
After Taylor finished doing her hair, it was time to leave. "Here, I'll drive. We're meeting at the sandwich shop near the library," Joe said, walking out to the car.
Taylor followed, sitting in the passenger seat. They made casual conversation on the car ride there, and when they arrived they both got out. Hailey was waiting for them at the front steps, flanked by Kim and Demi. "Hi guys!" Hailey grinned.
"Hi!" Joe smiled back.
Taylor gave a small wave, forcing herself to smile. Kim and Demi didn't do anything, just simply stood there. "Come on, we already have a table," Hailey motioned for them to follow her. They all sat down, Hailey, Demi, and Kim on one side, Joe and Taylor on the other.
"So, what's everyone getting?" asked Demi, thumbing through the menu.
"I'll probably get a simple ham, cheese and lettuce sandwich," said Joe.
Kim nodded, "I'm getting a pasta."
"I'm going to have a salad, have to keep this figure," Hailey smiled sweetly.
