One Angry Daddy

I woke to someone freaking out and I knew who it was. Derric. "Serenity." Derric looked at me and he rubbed my forehead. "Hey." The doctor come in and talked to us. Derric asked him a question and the doctor answered. "Yes, they're both fine." Derric looked confused and stared at the doctor. "What do you mean, they?" "Oh, Ms. Snow here is pregnant. I'll be back to check on you some more then you can go home." I stared at Derric's face and waited for him to answer. Derric looked at me and his eyes were wanting an answer.

"You're-you're pregnant?" I smile at him and he runs his hand through his hair. "Holy shit. I'm going to be a dad. We're not even married yet." He walks over to me and places his forehead on mine. "So, are you excited, Daddy?" Derric looked at me and smirked. "This is not the place for that." "I'm ready, love." I had to explain everything and decided to rest a while. I must have had a long nap cause after what I found out, I needed it.

Derric's POV

I drove down the road and parked my car on the side of the road. I slammed my door shut and started walking over to the house. I knocked on the door and the mom answered. "Hey, Mrs. Thomas, is Alex here." She smiled and welcomed me in. "Yes, he's in his room. I'll go get him." I heard her talking to someone and she waved to me as she went outside. Alex turned the corner and was devastated. "Lets go outside, Alex." We walk outside in the front yard and faced each other. "So, you do want to tell me what you did last night or should I?" Alex was nervous and I could see it. "Derric, I don't want to fight with you." I scoffed and made my remark.

"Should've thought about that before you broke into my house." Alex still didn't look at me. "You hurt my girlfriend, Alex! My daughter, too!" Alex turned and looked at me. "That little girl wasn't your daughter." I scoffed at him and pissed him off. "Right, my adopted daughter. Cause I was told to keep her safe from you."

He stared at me and went to throw a punch at me. I grabbed his arm and threw him back. "Another thing, my girlfriend is six weeks pregnant." Alex looks at me and then decides to start fighting me. I punch him in the gut and he hits me in the jaw. I punch him in the jaw and I get hit in the stomach. The fight continued until the cops come and arrest both of us.

Serenity's going to be pissed at me and so is our parents. The officers set us in the jail cells together and we waited to get our one free call. Alex broke the silence between us and sounded sincere. "I'm sorry, Derric. I've been resentful of you. I didn't know she didn't trust me and loved me. I'm sorry for Serenity and your children. Please forgive me." "Alex, I hated that you and Caroline were together, but I remembered when we used to be best friends. To hear you think so ill of me makes me wonder what our friendship was really like. I hurt when Caroline chose you, but I understood why she died. She hated our friendship ended. Serenity means everything to me, Alex. Why would you hurt her?" He trembled as I spoke and I could see it.

"You're right about me. I was very bad to Caroline and Serenity. I just want this all behind me. I want us back to being friends again. Could that ever happen?" I looked at him and thought about what Serenity would say. "In due time." Alex shook his head and we got our free call. I had to make the call and I was worried what he would think of me. "Hello, Mr. Snow? Yeah, um, could you come and talk to the officers? Alright, thanks, sir." I hung up the phone and went back to the cell. This is such a great impression for your future father in law.
