Milani woke up to Ricky pulling her blankets off and opening the blinds.
"Wake up" Ricky said
"No" Milani turned to her side getting her blankets, only for Ricky to take them back again.
"Stop- give them back" she said
"No, not until you get up and eat breakfast"
Milani got up and got her blankets back, she went downstairs to eat.
"Morning... what are we eating?"
"I made pancakes" Her dad said
After everyone ate, they all got ready for school. They got into the car and drove to school.
"Move over you're to close to me" Milani said to Gio
"Not my fault, you were the one who chose to sit in the middle" Gio replied back
"I didn't choose it, you all have a mess back there it's all dirty"
"Like you don't have stuff in the back"
"I do but at least I clean up after myself"
"Okay enough" Their dad said looking back at them. They got to school and they all went their separate ways. Milani walked to her first class and took her seat.
"Good morning class! Today we will be learning about how to set up our notes for this class" Mrs.Riley said. After a while Robby came in.
"Mr.Keene you're late"
"Sorry, I uh- woke up late" he said. He sounded as if he just made that up.
"Next time set your alarm and get to class on time, take a seat" Mrs.Riley said
He walked to his seat and sat next to Milani.
"Hey" he said
"Hey"
"This class is so boring"
"I know right and it's barely the second day of school" Milani said. They sat in a comfortable silence until Robby said something.
"Can you sit with me at lunch?" He asked
"yes, you can sit with me and my friends"
"Okay and it not because like I like you or anything it's just because you know I'm new and all I don't have anyone to sit with and-"
"Robby I don't mind sitting with you"
"But I do have one question" She continued
"What is your full name because I mean Robby sounds like a nickname that's short for like Robert or Roberto"
"It's just Robby no nickname" he lied with a small laugh
"Ohhh because I thought-" but Milani was cut off by Mrs.Riley
"Would you like to share with the class what you're talking about Milani?" She said
"Sure" Milani got up and walked to the front of the board
"So me and Robby were talking about the fair that's coming up and I was just asking him if he wanted to come with me" She lied, not about the fair because that was coming up but about the topic, Milani had done this in the previous years making her lying better, something she was proud of yet not so much either.
"The fair is so fun! You should definitely go" One of her classmates said
"The food is really good" Another student said
"Okay Milani never mind just take a seat!" Mrs.Riley said. She walked back to her seat and sat down.
"Is there really a fair?" Robby asked
"Yeah it's so fun, I was gonna tell you about it at lunch but I was interrupted, anyways do you wanna go with me?"
"Yeah when is it?"
"Like in 2 months or something"
"Okay everyone we will have a project that will be due in 2 weeks" Mrs.Riley said making the class groan.
