A Girl Whom I Adore
I ask myself what do I want, I know not ‘til too late,
A girl with whom I crave to touch, a desire to satiate.
I see her when I close my eyes, I see her in the sky,
I see her almost everywhere, I still know not why.I see her in a smiling face, I see her in caring eyes,
But fooled by such illusions, I wonder why I try.
Will I ever see her in the flesh? I plead, I beg, I cry!
I feel her in my deepest desires, I still know not why.A new smile shines back to me, another face in the sky,
And in this face I see this girl, I swear I tell no lie.
My question have I finally met her: Is this really time?
She left me to my own devices, and I still know not why.I search and cling to every hope, someday she’ll be found,
Although I do not know her yet, I’ll still make my sound.
I’ll shout her name into the sky, I’ll wait for my reply,
By Hell!– Through thick and thin: I will soon know why.For this girl whom I adore, exists only in my dreams,
And though I’ve never seen her, I hold these tattered seams.
Someday we may meet, together we shall soar so high!
But ‘til that day arrives, I still know not why.8/9/14
