Fight & Bracebridge Dinner

Jo's POV 

Lorelai, Rory and Sookie are talking about something and Sookie is freaking out. I can't really hear them because I'm working my tables on the other side of the room.

When Luke goes up to their table is when I finally walk up.

"Hey, want about Luke?" Sookie asks.

"What about him?" Luke asks.

"He eats, Jess and Jo eat. Doesn't Jess eat? You eat," she says looking at me.

"Yes?" I reply.

"What's she doing?" Luke asks Lorelai.

"I think she's inviting you for dinner."

"Yeah, come on, join us. It'll be fun. You like peacock pie?" Sookie asks.

"I'm 100 persent sure I don't," Luke tells her.

"There'll be normal food too," Lorelai tells him.

"And decorations," Rory adds.

"And music," Sookie adds.

"Come on. It'll be fun," Lorelai encourages.

"Well..." Luke says thinking.

"Please?" I ask him.

They make plans to invite everyone she Lorelai tells Luke to spread the word.

"Hey, I haven't said I'd come yet, so I'm certainly not gonna become your messenger boy."

At the same time Lorelai and I both give him a pout. He takes one glance at my brown eyes and then her blue and it immediately breaks him. 

"8 o'clock?" he asks.

"Seven," she replies.

"Right," and he walks off again.

"Hey, Lane."

"Hello, Bean."

"Hi, Jo. Are you guys going to this big shindig at the inn tonight?" he asks.

"Yeah, I'm just trying to trick my mom into not going with me," Lane replies.

"How's that coming along?" he asks.

"How's that Pixies reunion coming along?" she replies.

"I managed to talk Luke into going. Well, more like I pouted until he said yes."

"Well I'll see you and your mom, and you and Luke there."

"Bye," she says before leaving.

"Bye," we both tell her.

We were going in the same direction, so we continued on together, until I heard a voice I  recognized. Jess. Him and some guy start shoving each other.

"Whoa, hey, guys!" Dean yells running up to them.

"Guys, come on, break it up!" he yells again.

"Jess, Stop!" I yell.

He throws a punch.

"Quit! Hey, hold it, man!" Dean says, trying to pull him off.

"Get off him!" I yell.

Dean pulls Jess back and Jess goes for him. He gets Jess off him.

"Jess, knock it off, man."

"What the hell is your problem?" I ask.
