Midge stopped her face only inches from Quinn's. Quinn pulled away, blushing.
"What's the matter," Midge asked. She could feel her anxiety rising slightly. Everything seemed to be fine, so why did Quinn hesitate?
Quinn looked into the distance, watching as the sky darkened, "It just- doesn't feel right."
Midge looked down at her feet, frowning, "So... you don't-"
Quinn's eyes widened, "No! Midge, I do like you. I have... for a while."
Midge blushed, "Well, I like you too. So, what's the problem? What do you mean, 'It doesn't feel right?'"
Quinn exhaled, "The timing isn't right. We just started interacting somewhat normally again, and... I just... with the whole Gregg thing... there's a lot going on."
Midge crossed her arms, "You're right, but... when is the right time?"
Quinn shifted in her position, "I don't know, everything's just a mess," Quinn looked over to Midge, who had pulled a blunt from her pocket, and lit it.
"Well, it is what it is, I guess. Speaking of Gregg, I found out some stuff."
Quinn nodded, but inside, she was a little hurt. How could Midge change the subject so quickly?
"What's up," Quinn asked nonchalantly.
"So, I did some snooping," Midge said as she let out a puff of smoke, "And I found out that apparently, Veronica has some sort of club."
"Really?"
Midge nodded, "Yeah. It's called the 'Gold Club.'"
Quinn furrowed a brow, "'Gold Club?' What is that about?"
Midge shrugged, "I don't know. But I heard that there's gonna be some kind of party, like an initiation of sorts."
"Okay. So what do we do?"
Midge snuffed out her blunt, "We go I guess."
Quinn's eyes widened, "I don't know Midge. Maybe we should call the police?"
Midge hopped off her seat of the bridge, Quinn doing the same, "Quinn, the police aren't going to believe us. Not unless we have proof."
Quinn bit her lip, Midge was right, "I mean yeah, but... what would we even look for?"
Midge began to walk through the path towards her car, Quinn followed, "We look for anything suspicious," Midge responded, unlocking her car.
"Alright then," Quinn said, buckling her seatbelt.
The ride back was silent. Neither girl spoke, and a slight awkwardness hung in the air.
Quinn didn't mean to make things awkward or tense between her and Midge. It was just that, a lot was going on, and Quinn wanted to get herself situated before she committed to a relationship. She looked over to Midge, who was focused on the road, she wanted to speak, but couldn't find the right words to say.
Quinn Yawned as Midge pulled into the school's parking lot, Quinn unbuckled, and exited the vehicle.
"So... um... I had fun tonight," Quinn said awkwardly.
Midge nodded, "Me too."
The two girls looked away from each other, the tension thickening.
"Well, goodnight," Midge said, breaking the silence.
"Goodnight."
After Midge left, Quinn walked into her room, and put on her pajamas. She flopped onto her bed, slipping into sleep.

Quinn's day had been normal. She was done with classes, so she was currently driving to see Jax.
She pulled into the trailer park, looking for the one that belonged to Jax. She had found it in the far right corner, she knocked.
After about three minutes Jax opened the door, a towel around his neck, and his hair wet.
"Heya Quinn," Jax exclaimed, a big smile on his face, Quinn smiled back.
"Hey, Jax."
Jax stepped to the side, making room for Quinn. As she walked in, she noticed that the trailer, though small, was spacious, and in the decor, though simple, fit Jax's personality perfectly.
Quinn could hear music softly playing from a speaker. Jax sat on his couch and motioned for Quinn to do the same, she did.
"So...how'd your date go," Jax asked, curiously.
Quinn sighed heavily, "It went okay, until, we almost kissed, and I ruined it, by pulling away. I'm such an idiot."
Jax rubbed Quinn's knee, "Hey, it's alright. Most first dates don't go all that well anyways. In fact," Jax began as he got up from his seat, he grabbed a small framed picture, it was him and Angus.
"When me and Angus went out on our first date, it was... definitely not ideal. For one, it was my first date with a guy, hell, my first date... ever," Jax smiled somberly, looking at the picture, "The first thing that went wrong, was that my suit was too big, because my mom had forgotten to hem it to fit me, so I kept tripping over myself."
Quinn smiled, imagining a younger Jax tripping over his too-big dress pants.
"Not to mention how sweaty I was, it was mess. Anyway, a few hours went by, and when we went in for our first kiss... I... missed."
Quinn blinked in confusion, "You... missed?"
Jax nodded, blushing from embarrassment, "Yeah. Instead of his lips, I kissed his eye."
Quinn bit back a chuckle, "Jeez, you must have felt pretty embarrassed."
Jax nodded, "Yep. Hella embarrassed. He still won't leave me alone about it. My point is, Everyone has embarrassing moments, but if you care about someone, and if they care about you, it's all good."
Quinn sat back, she thought about it, "You're right."
Jax frowned, "But... it still feels like there's something bothering you, what's wrong?"
Quinn exhaled, "I... it's nothing, no big deal."
Jax smiled softly, "Well if you ever need to talk to somebody, I'm here."
Quinn smiled back, "Thanks, Jax."
