Chapter 14: UNEXPECTED TURN OF EVENTS

"Excuse me? Miss Morisson, pwede ka daw ba bumaba sa EIC para sa photoshoot ng cover ng Clark Clarion? tungkol daw sa Regional Math contes" sabi ni Agatha.

"Sure, si Stein din ba kasama?" 

"Yes. But tig-individual shot kayo" sagot niya. 

Naglakad na kami pababa sa EIC. "Ah.. Kathrine Morisson, congratulations for being the reigning champions of the math contest. Your win is a huge milestone to the school" Gus greeted me warmly, "That's quite a compliment Gus. Thanks" sabi ko at nakipag-kamay sa kanya. Pinatayo na niya ko sa harap ng camera at sinimulan ang photoshoot.

"Thanks for your time. We wish to do this again some other time" he said wand we exchanged words. Paglabas ko, dumating naman si Stein. I just smiled when he waved at me. 

Just when i was heading upstairs, I came across Luthor. "Kathrine, there's something you must know. You have to warn Loki of Moriarty's next move. He just ordered Augustus to turn the tables. I assume that he will be starting a mudslinging campaign against the club" he warned and walked away like nothing happened. 

Huh, a mudslinging campaign.

"Plan A failed. Time for Plane B" I announced. 

"You never told us Plan B" that's right. Not yet, I haven't.

 "I have only thought of it until Augustus continued dodging earlier. He knows that we found a thread linking him to Moriarty. He might do something drastic to prevent us from uncovering his tracks. Once he actually does something, that's our opportunity to strike" I declared. Now all I have to figure out is what Augustus will throw at us. As if the heaven's knew of my dilemma, Kathrine called. "I have no time to explain but be on the lookout. My source tells me that Moriarty will be turning the tables. If the school is in favor of your club now, wait until he changes things. It would be a big blow" sha said and ended the call. 

From the beginning, when I recruited Kathrine into my club, I knew that she has determinations and conviction about detective work and for the M cases. I know that she won't rest until she puts him behind bars. Like me, she has been a victim of Rhea, being emotionally tortured but hat I admire about her is that she didn't change even if someone close to her heart passed away, she remained the same. I admire her of her skills and as a person as well. When I dismissed her of her duty to the club, I was certain that she will find a way. And she is. From what she said earlier, source? Looks like she has a lot of information gathered. I trust her prowess in her own methods, I better brace myself for what's about to happen. According to Kathrine and her source.

I decided to pay Luthor a visit, maybe he can give me more information. "How could Moriarty do this? Seryoso bang sinabi ito ng mga victims? Or maybe he used blackmail to cataputl the scenario. He must have a strong evidence against them! What do you suggest that we do?" i asked him. I just can't believe what is written in the school paper. But, I'm sure that the one that I heard playing from the audio booth is done by Herschel. He must have edited and tampered the recordings. "Indeed. Gus has a strong evidence, the Pandora's Box" the what bow now?! "Its a laptop containing photos and videos and who knows what. He must have used them to blackmail their so called wintesses. We should move fast, even if Loki had managed to turn the tables for now. The Clark Clarion still has a more concrete evidence against. And that's Loki's sacred Pandora's Box" he told me. "I see. So what do you suggest we do now?" I asked, "I'll orchestrate a fired rill as a distraction and ask Maggie and Rye to take the Pandora's Box. Sounds good?" he said and I nodded. Perfect!
