I've been thinking of this for a while now, what if they were American varsity football players?
I feel like these would be the positions:
Setter: Quarterback (because they have the most important position on the field and decide who to pass the ball to)
Wing Spiker: running back but if it's an ace wing spiker (and the second ace too) then wide receiver (because they're the ones who get through everyone/blockers to score the touchdown/point)
Libero: Cornerback (I honestly really don't know why, maybe it's because the cornerback knocks the ball out of the opponents hands and prevents the other team from getting a touchdown but hardly ever makes any of the actual touchdowns)
Middle Blocker: Linebacker (because their main job is to tackle the person who has the ball and stop them from making a touchdown)
