I woke up in the middle of the night coughing. I seen Jahseh laying on the couch that was in the room. He started moving. He looked at me.
"You okay baby?" He asked in his sexy raspy sleepy voice. I nodded my head and stopped coughing. He got a cup that was sitting on the table. He came over to me and put the straw to my lips.
"Here" he said
"Jahseh I'm ain't drinkin that warm ass water" I said turning my head away
"What's the difference between now and when you got it?" He questioned
"The temperature" I said. He laughed.
"Just drink the shit" he turned my head by my chin. I put my mouth on the straw and drank it.
"Too fuckin early for this Y/n" he laughed. I laughed too. He pulled a chair over to the side of the hospital bed and sat down.
"You doin okay though?" He questions as he grabbed my hand and caressed it
"Yeah" I spoke
"You sure?.......you not hungry? Hot? Cold? Or need to go to the bathroom?" He questioned. Before I could answer he spoke again.
"Well like of course you're hot but you know what I mean" he said
"Shut up" I blushed
"But no. I'm good" I denied . He nodded his head. He sat there still caressing my hand as we watched T.V. I felt my eyes getting heavier and finally let them rest.

I fluttered my eyes open. Jahseh came over to me.
"When you were sleep they came in here and they said you're doing better than expected" he smiled. I smiled too.
"Where's mommy?" I questioned seeing she wasn't there.
"She went back to the house last night to make sure your dad didn't like trash it or anything" he informed me. I nodded my head.
"I knew you were gonna wake up soon so I ordered your breakfast already" he said. I nodded. I sat up.
"Jahseh I wanna let you know something" I said grabbing his hands. He sat down on the bed. He looked deep into my eyes indicating for me to continue.
"I just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for me. Even when we were just friends. You've always treated me so good. You've always been here for me when I needed you and here I am in the hospital......and you're still here. Thank you Jahseh. I love you a lot Jahseh. I really, really do" I thanked him. His eyes got glossy. He softly kissed my lips and I kissed back.
"Anything for you baby. I love you more than you could ever imagine" he assured me. I smiled. I kissed him. Our lips moved in sync until we heard a knock at the door. Our food came.
