Lasting Love (Klaroline)

Special Delivery

Caroline's POV
     We finished eating dinner, and everyone headed to the living room. I went upstairs, and got a shower. I then put on my pjs, which was shorts, and one of Nik's shirts. I went downstairs to the living room. I heard Elijah say, " Why am I supposed to stay here?"

     I came in and said, " Believe me, I'm not thrilled of being baby sat."

     I sat down beside Nik. Nik said, " He's not baby sitting you. He is just keeping you company."

     I rolled my eyes, and Rebekah, Mikael, Esther, Freya, Finn, and Kol got up and walked outside. Nik turned to me, and said, " I will be back before you know it."

    I said, " I know. I love you."

    He said, " I love you, sweetheart, and my littlest love."

      I smiled, and kissed his lips, and then he went out the front door, and left. Elijah went upstairs, and I turned on the tv. I started watching, 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.'

     After two episodes, Elijah came downstairs and sat down. He said, " Why are you watching this?"

    I said, " Well, Kol kind of got me hooked on the show. You can blame him. Why what would you want to watch?"

     He said, " Something Better than this."

    I said, " Suck it up. We are watching this. Spike and Buffy need to get together. I mean you can sense the tension between them."

    Elijah rolled his eyes, and watched it. After two hours of watching, my water broke. I screamed, " Ahhhh!!"

       Elijah came over to me, and said, " What's wrong?"

     I said, " My water broke. The baby is coming."

    He said, " Let's get you to the hospital."

    He then put my one arm around his neck, and helped me walk to my car. He said, "You are letting me drive your car?"

     I took a deep breath and said, " Yes. I am kind of in labor, get me to the damn hospital, Elijah!"

     He nodded, and he helped me, in the passenger side. He then got in and drove to the hospital. Another contraction hit me, in the car. I screamed, " Ahhh!!"

     Elijah said, " It will be fine, we are almost there."

      I nodded and took deep breaths. Five minutes later, we arrived at the hospital. He helped me out of the car, and we went to the nurses station. He said, " My sister is in labor. Where is Dr. Laughlin!"

     The nurse hurried and got a wheelchair for me. I sat down, and the nurse said, " You, go Paige Dr. Laughlin."

   The other nurse nodded, and Elijah gave me his hand, and I squeezed it as another contraction hit. The nurse then brought us to a room. Elijah left the room, so I could get a gown on. I then laid on the bed, waiting for Jo. Elijah came back into the room, he said, " Niklaus isn't picking up his phone. I called Rebekah, and told her. She should be telling him."

     I nodded, and then I screamed, " Ahhh!!"

     I held tight to Elijah's hand.

Nik's POV
     I shot the professor in the head, and got the set of twins, he was experimenting on out of there. I then got in my car, and Rebekah said, " Elijah called. Caroline's in labor. We have to get to the hospital, now!"

   I nodded, and then drove as fast as I could to the Mystic Falls hospital.

Caroline's POV
     Jo came in, and said, " Hello, Caroline. Nice to see you, Elijah. Where's Klaus?"

         Elijah said, " He is on his way."

   Jo nodded, and then Jo came over and examined me. Another contraction hit, and I squeezed Elijah's hand tightly. I screamed, " Ahhhhhh!!!"

     It passed, and Jo said, " Alright. You are at 7 centimeters."

     I nodded, and took a deep breath. Thirty minutes later, Nik came into the room. He came to my other side, and I grabbed his hand. Nik said, " Sorry. I came as fast as I could, my love."

    I nodded, and he kissed my head. Jo said, " Alright, Caroline. Push."

    Once another contraction hit, I screamed, and pushed. I squeezed Elijah's and Nik's hand. It passed, and Jo said, " Good."

        After two more contractions, and pushing, the baby arrived. I let go of Elijah's and Nik's hand. Jo said, " It's a baby boy."

     Nik cut the cord, and then Jo took our baby to get cleaned up. Nik kissed my lips, and said, " You did great, love."

      Elijah said, " He's adorable."

    I looked, and Jo came over with our baby. She laid him in my arms, and he was yawning. He has Nik's eyes, and my hair. I said, " He has your eyes."

     Nik said, " He has your hair, love."

    I nodded, and Jo left the room. Five minutes later, the rest of the family came into the room, and crowded around the bed. Elijah said, " Hey, Kol. I drove Caroline's car!"

     Kol said, " What?! Why him?!"

    I said,  " I was in labor. Who else was supposed to drive me?"

    Kol and Elijah started bickering. I just laughed, and Looked down at my baby. Esther said, " What's his name?"

     I looked at Nik, and he nodded. I said, " His name is Henrik Elijah Mikaelson. Henrik is after the son you lost, Esther and Mikael. Elijah is because he is Nik's favorite brother, and he is also my best friend."

     I passed Henrik to Esther and Mikael. Elijah said, " I'm her favorite!!"

    Kol said, " I'm her favorite! Caroline tell him I am your favorite."

    Elijah said, " No, I'm her favorite."

     I laughed and said, " Elijah if you continue, I will change his middle name. Kol you were never my favorite Mikaelson. If anyone is my favorite Mikaelson it is Nik. After Nik is Rebekah, then Elijah."

    Kol said, " Whatever. May I hold my nephew?"

   Rebekah said, " I am holding him next!"

   Freya handed Henrik to Rebekah. Rebekah handed him to Finn, Finn handed him to Kol. Kol handed him to Elijah. Elijah handed him back to Nik. They all left the room, to give Nik and i some time with our baby.

     I was holding Henrik, and he grabbed my finger. I looked at Nik, and he said, " I love you, sweetheart and Henrik!"

    I said, " I love you too!"

   I then pecked his lips. We then stayed up, and watched Henrik.
