By the time Iris reached her locker, her fiends had left and she was alone. This was it. This was the moment Vanessa had been waiting for. Iris, hi. She greeted as she approached her. Hey. Vanessa right? Iris had opened her locker and had started putting books in. Yeah. Uh, do you think I can sit with you at lunch today? I mean I'm new, and I don't know anyone here. Implored Vanessa. Uh... I don't know. Iris hesitated. Please? I barely know anyone here, and I 'm alone. Vanessa tried convincing her. Okay, sure. I'm sure Caitlin won't mind. Iris smiled as she closed her locker.

The two girls walked to the cafeteria and when they got there, Iris spotted Caitlin sitting alone at a table. She greeted before joining her and sitting down. Caitlin this is Vanessa. Vanessa this is my best friend Caitlin. Iris introduced the two girls as they greeted one another. Iris explained to Caitlin that Vanessa was new and that she doesn't know anyone else at the school. So, where are you from Vanessa? Caitlin asked. Here, there, everywhere. I've moved around a lot. Vanessa said. What grade are you in? Caitlin questioned her. I'm a senior. Vanessa answered. And what are you planning on doing when you graduate? Iris asked. Uh, well I really love animals, so I was thinking of going to vet school. Vanessa lied. Oh, really? Caitlin looked at her. Yeah, I actually got a job at a pet store last year, and it turns out they needed a vet assistant, so they asked me. Vanessa smiled as she lied again. What about you guys? She asked. Caitlin wants to be a scientist, and I want to study law. Iris recounted. I told you, Bio-engineer. Caitlin corrected her. Its the same thing, right? Iris said as she and Caitlin giggled.

Chris and Iris hugged their friends goodbye before leaving that day after school. They were walking home together like they always do, as Chris played their special song on loud speaker on his phone. Vanessa followed them as they walked on the brown bridge across the pier. Hey, you know what? Let's take a detour and go hang out at the spot. Chris suggested as they stopped walking. Chris, but we have homework. Iris sighed. I know, but just for a few minutes. Please? He begged. How can I say know to that face? Iris giggled as Chris pecked her on the cheek. He took her hand before making a left turn on the bridge. They walked until they got to White fall park. After putting their bags down, Chris sat down with one leg up and one leg down as he rested his back against a tree. Iris joined him by facing him and sitting the opposite direction with her legs facing the tree. They smiled at each other before kissing, which escalated to them making out.

Vanessa watched them from a far distance. I thought that was supposed to be our spot. She mumbled to herself. Chris. I think we should go. Iris said, in between kisses. 5 more minutes. I promise. He smiled. That's what you said 2 hours ago. Iris continued to kiss him. Its getting late, and  our parents are probably worried about us. Worried Iris. Okay, lets go. Chris gave her one more kiss before getting up and grabbing their stuff.
