Weeks have passed and Iris still hasn't spoken to her friends ever since. She's been ignoring them and avoiding them any chance she could. She's been spending more time with Vanessa instead. Oh my God Vanessa, where do you come up with these stories? Iris laughed. I know, they're funny right? Vanessa chuckled as Iris nodded. So, Vanessa do you have a boyfriend? Iris asked. Um, no. I am totally single. You? She looked at her. Yes. I do. He's name is Chris and he's the sweetest guy ever. Iris breathed. Awww. Vanessa said, trying to sound interested. You should meet him, I'm sure he's gonna like you. Iris suggested. I would love to. That's sounds great Iris. Vanessa lied. He's such a great guy, and did I mention we have our own special song? He plays it all the time on his phone, and sometimes he even sings it to me. Iris boasted. Really? I used to have a boyfriend, and we had a special song as well. Vanessa lied again. Really? What was his name? Iris asked. His name was also Chris. But he was from another school I went to before transferring here. Vanessa said as she kept making up things.

Oh wow. If you don't mind me asking... What happened? Iris was intrigued. He dumped me. Before rapping me. Tears began to form in Vanessa's eyes. Vanessa, I'm so sorry. Iris went around to where she was sitting and put a comforting arm around her. Look at her. Stealing our friend away from us and now she's pretending to cry. Cisco had his elbow on the table while resting his hand on his cheek. I know, what a bitch. Caitlin sneered. She's a pathological liar. That's what she is. Cisco and Caitlin watched them from across their table. There's something about her though. Something that doesn't feel right. Caitlin was suspicious. You got that right sister. Cisco agreed.

Later that day, when Iris was alone at her locker. They tried to take the opportunity to talk to her. Iris listen. There's something wrong with Vanessa and we don't like her. Cisco said. What? Are you two jealous now? Iris asked angrily. What? No. We're just looking out for you. Cisco reasoned. I can look out for myself. Thanks. Iris slammed her locker door. Iris, we just want our friend back. And those things... It wasn't us. We promise. Caitlin begged. How can I trust you guys? After all you've done. Bewailed Iris. That wasn't us! Cisco snapped. I am so sorry, Iris. I- Cisco tried to apologize. Stay away from me, ok? Both of you. Iris looked at them before leaving.

Caitlin had tears streaming down her cheeks. Hey guys. Chris greeted as he appeared. What's wrong? He asked when he noticed them crying. Nothing okay, just nothing. We just need some space right now. Cisco snivelled as he and Caitlin walked away, leaving Chris alone.
