"Emmy, run!" Hannah calls out. "Don't look back!"
Scared and alone Emersyn runs. How did it get to this? Thoughts fly through my head as my feet shift into paws.
Earlier this month:
"OMG you're never gonna guess who I just saw!" My best friend H...

"Em, time to get up. Today is going to be a busy day!" my mom's over chipper voice sings from downstairs.
"Ugh, mom, do I really have to get up already? It's supposed to be my day." I whine out just for fun.
My mom comes into my room and gives me her mom look, "Emersyn Rou, you know better than that. Get your butt up and out of bed. I'm going to pick up Chase soon." She continues giving me a pointed look till I pull the blanket off and climb out of bed.
"Fine. Fine. I'm going. I'm sure Hannah will be here any minute wanting to help me get ready anyway." Mom smiles and pats my head before leaving the room.
Hannah is jumping around in front of the closet when I get out from the shower. Throwing clothes all over my bed and muttering to herself.
"Uh, Han, are you alright?" I question my friend's sanity.
Her head snaps over and she looks me up and down. "No. No. No. Today is your day and it has to be perfect," she exclaims, getting a crazy look in her eyes. "Now, let's see what I have to work with here."
"Come on Han, it really isn't that serious," I try to plead with her.
She laughs and beckons me towards her. "Come on. See what I've picked out for you. It isn't every day you get to share a party with Zander. You have to look the part you know. And since the dress has to be white, it's taken me a long time to find the perfect dress."
Sighing I walk over. She holds up a dress with a big smile on her beautiful face. I gasp. The dress is gorgeous. The dress is a beautiful off-white with flowy sleeves and lace on the top. It had a corset top and the waist was tight but the bottom flared out landing just above my knees. It was perfect. My eyes flew up to Hannah.
Wow. That is beautiful. Camilla states. I sigh happily in agreement.
"How. Hannah. Oh. There are no words." I stammer out.
"Put it on. Put it on." Hannah screeches.
I slid the dress on with no regard to my nudity. We are wolves are all.
Hannah helps tie up the corset and beams. "It's more than perfect!" she decides. "Now, hair and makeup. Sit." She motions towards my vanity and I follow her order. Hannah works quickly tying my hair into an elaborate braid and light eyes with a bold red lip. She smiles and spins me around in the chair.
I quickly reach my hand to my face. "Is this really me? I've never looked so beautiful before. I can't believe it. Wow." I jump up and hung her. "Thank you so much! My goddess. Everyone is going to be staring at me."
"Yeah that's kinda the point." She laughs. "Carol, come see!" Hannah calls out.
Mom rushes up to my room and freezes in the doorway. Her hand goes to her heart and tears enter her eyes. "Baby, you're so beautiful. Today's the day. You're going to become whole. I'm so proud of you!" Mom hugs me.
"Thanks mom," I say blushing. "I'm so nervous about tonight."
"It will be just fine babe. I promise. We'll all be right there with you." Mom assures me.
I nodded and look at Hannah. "Ready?" I ask. Nodding Hannah grabs my hand and we head down the stairs to meet the rest of my family.
Be confident and brave tonight my dear. And trust me. Camilla says softly.
Trust you? Is something going to happen? Oh, I hope everything is going to fine.
She chuckles and sends soothing vibes across our bond. Everything will be fine. I promise.
I believe you. Let's do this.
My dad gasps as I come down the stairs.
Chase runs up and hugs me. "Wow sissy, you look so pretty. Like a princess!" He says excitedly.
"I can't believe how grown up you look! So pretty," dad says.
I smile softly and nod my head, "Thank you so much guys. Let's go."
Everyone nods and heads out to the path. Since it's my first shift we will walk as it is customary to run back as a pack.
"Wow." the Luna and Alpha say as we approach the stage. I just smile at them and nod my head. The Luna leads me behind curtain and proceeds to light candles.
"Are you ready to go out dear? The moon is almost ready." She asks in her soft voice.
I shiver and nod. Nerves of steel I tell myself.
"Let's do this," I respond.
With the moon high above us, shining brightly the curtain opens curtain opens, I lock eyes with my pack. One wolf in particular catches my eye. Before anyone can say anything, the wolf steps forward.
