Esmerelda was shocked. Father!?  He HAD to be joking. Christopher was shaking in fear in the corner of the cell. The Demon stared down and snickered at the boy.

"How are you son? It's been ages. You still are skinny and bony. Pathetic." He swayed towards the cell with Esmerelda and Aquamarina. "And are these the Glugs that were caught last night? How very dreadful. Their skin and bone too. Disgusting little children, always getting in the way." He turned back to his son. Christopher seemed to know what was coming, and stepped back.

"And you," he muttered. "You disgusting piece of filth. You know we never wanted you, me and your Glug mother." Chris lowered his eyes to the ground. Aquamarina gaped too, at the boy who was so threatening a few minutes ago and who was now huddled up in the and looked like he was about to cry. Esmerelda felt sympathy for him as his "father" continued ranting at him.

"Half-Glug, my boy! Half-glug! How pathetic is that! You should be dishonored, wait you already are, hehe!" He laughed maniacally as Chris sunk lower into the ground. Esmerelda felt like she should step in, but she didn't know what to do. He turned around and headed off out of the dungeon room. Christopher glared at the two girls.

"Shut up, and don't ask questions." he muttered. Crouched against the wall, the silence came again.
