"Carter j. Stalling how dare you not call your mother in over a week !"
I sigh into the phone which I know is making my mother raise an eyebrow over the phone " mom you act like you call me every week we always go awhile without talking on the phone , I don't know why you're so mad "
As i finish my sentence I see the curly haired little monster coming into the living room where I'm currently sitting . He sits down next to me but puts his head on my chest " you still should've called Carter , anyways I need to tell you that I'll be coming to visit in a week spencer gave me your address and I've booked a hotel near by . by the looks of your apartment it didn't seem like you'd have extra room especially concerning you're still living with what was his name ? " I immediately feel sick why is she coming here ? I'm not ready for her to meet Harry . " Harry mother and I'm not sure if I'll have time next week I'm very busy at the office ." Harry is looking at me like he's about to laugh , he finds stuff like this funny when I don't. " you don't have time for your mother ? Well you'll just have to make time I haven't seen you in 8 months Carter ... I have to go now I have a meeting in 5 bye . And for the love of god you better not have green hair like you did last time I saw you " with that she hung up . I didn't have green hair it was teal but according to her it was " swamp hair " I went to see 8 months ago because I didn't want her coming here and now she is coming here and I don't know what to do ." Guess I finally get to meet my mummy huh "
Harry says in a joking manner , I don't feel like arguing with him or telling him he's being a jerk right now so I just remove his head from my lap and walk to the room .
Harry being Harry follows me in there
" it will be fine Carter " I dismiss his comment and head to the bathroom " I have to get ready I'm going to the club tonight " Harry makes a face " don't give me the look I know you heard me earlier it's not like you didn't know I was going I can do what I want Harry " Harry comes into the bathroom arms crossed
" it's dangerous I told you I don't like you being with Spencer alone in some sketchy club , it's dangerous " he's always been very protective of me he doesn't like me going places without him and when I do he always calls me constantly , it's really annoying . "Harry look we've been going to the same place for years it's fine I'll be fine and don't wait up " I'm surprised when he doesn't try to fight me on this instead he just turns and walks out after mumbling " the club and then home no pit stops especially not at night , and bring your pepper spray ."
He's clearly annoyed at me but I don't wanna deal with it right now . I get ready putting on a cute red dress with a side bag to match .

It feels nice to be dressed up I haven't done it in awhile even when Harry and I started dating I never really got all dressed up .

I've always felt comfortable around him , even in the beginning when I didn't trust him or know him I still felt some what comfortable .
He would make me feel weird though when he'd stare at me in the beginning.

Also I'm not gonna show you guys what I think Carter looks like because I personally don't like it when people do that with the main girl character because it usually doesn't match what I think they look like , but I did give you guys some physical details about her I might give more details later on in the story .
You can imagine her any skin color you want i feel like in every story it's some blonde with a " perfect body " and that's just unrealistic and kinda sad.
I think we as writers should promote all body types and skin tones in characters .
