The bell rang.

Logan was going to die.

He was about to pass out.

He had arranged to meet with Patton after class to talk about what was happening between them. He packed up his stuff and rushed out of the classroom. He made his way around the campus and sat down on the bench he was going to meet Patton at....

The very same bench the two had kissed. Logan cringed at the memory. He really was an idiot but he was going to make it up to Patton. He stared at his clasped hands as his leg bounced up and down. He suddenly heard someone clear his throat. He looked up and saw Patton standing awkwardly in front of him.

"Hey..." Patton offered a faint smile.

"Hi" Logan breathed out. There was an awkward silence while Logan looked Patton up and down "Um do you want to sit?"

"Yeah okay" Patton sat down beside Logan.

Again the silence stretched on. Patton was twirling his thumbs and Logan's fingernails dug through his jeans and into his knees.

"Logan" Patton broke the silence "We need to talk."

"Yes agreed."

"Okay I'll go first" Patton took a deep breath "Logan I'm really sorry. I haven't had a proper chance to tell you how sorry I am. I shouldn't have kissed you out of the blue like that. It was wrong. I'd love to go back to being friends but I can't lie to you. The kiss wasn't an impulse thing. I like you, I like you a lot. I read the situation wrong. I thought that maybe-" His voice cracked slightly and Logan saw his fists clench "maybe you'd like me back" he let out a watery laugh "I now know it was stupid. I'm going to try to put these feelings behind me. I'd be really happy if you wanted to be friends but if not I completely understand."

Logan nodded as he took a moment to process all that Patton said. Patton stared at him, awaiting his response nervously.

"Patton you don't need to be sorry. I- I'm the one who should be sorry. I reacted horribly, I shouldn't have ran and I shouldn't have ignored you the truth is I was scared" Patton furrowed his eyebrows as Logan took a deep breath "You said you weren't going to lie to me so I'm not gonna lie to you. Patton I- I" Logan hesitated he thought of his Mom. About how much she wanted to meet Patton. He thought about introducing him to his mom as his boyfriend "Patton I like you too."

Patton's eyes widened "What?"

"I like you too" Logan repeated "I really do. I was just so scared to ruin how so called perfect I was, worried about disappointing my Mom but then I realised you're too important to me. I came out to my Mom."

Patton beamed "Logan that's great! I'm so proud of you."

"Thanks" Logan said "She's really accepting and she knew I had to make up with you. I knew it too. I also know I'm not perfect and that's okay. Patton if you're not repulsed by the thought would you like to go on a date with me sometime?"

Patton let out a laugh and beamed "Yes!" He threw his arms around Logan's neck and pulled him into a hug. Logan hugged him back and dug his face into his shoulder. They pulled apart after awhile, smiling at each other.

"Patton I think I owe you something" Logan said.

"Mhm what?"

Logan grabbed his shoulders and yanked him into a kiss. Patton was shocked but smiled into the kiss.

"Holy shit."

The two pulled apart to see Virgil and Roman standing a few feet in front of them. Patton chuckled as Logan flushed red.

"Logan I said make up not make out" Virgil teased.

Patton called after the couple walking away "Why not both?"

As Patton laughed Logan stared. His smile was breathtaking. Logan laced his hands into Patton's.

"Logan" Patton said "For the record. I think you're perfect."

Logan smiled. Perfect seemed to be changing definitions for him but he didn't mind.
