Chapter Eleven : Cancer?
June 2018

Jay couldn't sit still as he waited for his mother and father to come back from the hospital. Julie wasn't much better, she kept pacing around the kitchen as Jay folded his fingers over and over, his leg bouncing up and down as he sat at the kitchen table.

"Would you two stop that!?" Carlos, the twins little brother, eventually yelled, "When the two fo you are nervous then I get nervous."

Julie took a seat next to her twin, "Sorry Carlos. And I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about."
"Yeah." Jay let go of a deep sigh, "Nothing at all." He tried to reassure himself as well as his younger siblings.

Slowly he pulled out his phone and checked how close his parents were to home. But he didn't really need to seeing as soon as he opened the 'find my' app he saw headlights shine through the window.

Jay dropped his phone on the table and rushed over to the front door. Julie seemed to have the same idea: the twins pulling the door open at the same time. The Molina parents slowly walked into the house.

Jay took one looked at his father's face and any hope he had fell out of him. His father was clearly grim, and his eyes were sunken. His mother on the other hand looked beautiful as always. Her hair perfectly tossed over her shoulder, her smile bright as the sun.

Jay gulped, "So?"
Juile frantically shook her head, "Yeah, yeah what did the doctors say?"
Their father sighed, falling onto the couch and running his hand over his face, "Guys, why don't you come over here."
Jay and Julie looked at each other before following Carlos into the living room. His hands were shaking and Julie had grabbed onto his shirt as they sat down. The twins relied on each other in times like these. Time where they were so nervous and scared they couldn't think straight.

"So?" Jay repeated. His mother walked over and started to rub small circles onto Jay's back, He turned his head to look at his mother, "Mom?" His voice was shaking, all the different possibilities that could have gone wrong running around in his head.

His parents were slint and Julie tightened her grip on Jay's sleeve. Eventually his father sighed, "They say it's stage four Lymphoma."
Julie's grip got tighter, "Cancer?"
