Demonslayer and hunter x hunter:
Many years ago when japan was infested with demons, the hunters decided to trap all man eating demons in a specific place called 'the hidden part of japan'. There the hunters created a secure barrier that couldn't be broken from the inside nor the outside. If one would try to come out from the inside, they will only be met with a endless forest that leads them to seemingly nowhere. The only people who could come out of the hidden part of japan were the demonslayers. To access the hidden part of japan, there must be someone from the inside of the area to create a hole in the barrier. To get out if the hidden part of japan you must have a nichirin blade at hand.

Demonslayer corps:
The Kimetsu no yaiba corps is a secretive organization that fights evil behind the government's back. The members of the organization get an incredibly sacred item called a Nichirin sword. The people associated with the corps all lives in a hidden neighborhood. The kimetsu no yaiba corps is also known as the demonslayer corps since they kill human eating demons as well.

There are two sides of the kimetsu no yaiba corps and that is the 12 Kizuki and the Hashiras. The Hashira side would learn the 'white magic' which is the breath forms while the 12 Kizuki learns the 'black magic' which is power they have and can bend to will. The 12 Kizuki used to be human eating demons however y/n l/n made a breath form that changed only strong demons into half humans. This means the twelve Kizuki is allowed to go out in the sun without burning and doesn't need to consume any blood but still can use their powers.

This is why the Ubuyashiki family, the founders of the organization kept all the people in the hidden neighborhood. The people who want to join the kimetsu no yaiba corps must first go through the final selection. If you would like a higher position, you must have the certification from Kagaya ubuyashiki to take the hunters exam. After that, you must take said hunters exam and get the hunters license to fully become a rank near the hashira's and 12 Kizuki. The hashira's took the hunter exam however the 12 Kizuki didn't since they were powerful enough.

The hunter exam takes in what the demonslayer corps call 'the outside world' where only the people Kagaya ubuyashiki trusts. The reason why people are not allowed to go to the outside world is because of the demons contained in the 'hidden part of japan'. If people are allowed to go in and out then the demons would be able to as well, making it near impossible killing each and one of them.
