NOTE: there will be some changes in the promised neverland and demonslayer anime since I have to make it along the hxh timeline as well. There would also be major manga spoilers and lots of flashbacks.

"First of, tell me your names." The captain ordered once he collected all the people who were unaffected by the storm.

"I'm gon!"

"I am kurapika."

"It's leorio."

"I'm y/n! Y/n l/n!"

"My name is kamado tanjiro!"

"Rui."

"I'm Muichiro, this is my twin Yuichiro."

"Genya."

"My name is Aoi. This is my sister, Kanao."

"I'm zenitsu aga-"

"Inosuke hashibira!" The captain only nodded slightly as he began to speak again.

"Why do you want to become hunters?"

"Oi, don't act like the examiner and start bossing us around!" The boy named leorio shouted angrily as he pointed at the captain with an accusing finger.

"Just answer the question!"

"My dad is a hunter. I want to know why my dad wanted to become a hunter so badly to the point where he abandoned me in whale island." Gon explained as tanjiro, y/n and Aoi looked at him in pity.

"What about you?" The captain asked as he looked at y/n.

"We need the hunters license so we can help as many people as we can. We also need it so we could get to places ordinary people couldn't." Tanjiro said cautiously as to not reveal the secret of the hidden part of japan and the demon slayer corps.

"I was asking the little girl with h/c hair but ok I guess..." the captain mumbled as tanjiro guiltily looked at the ground.

"Oi you two! You're not supposed to answer the question!" The boy wearing a suit said with hands in his pockets.

"Why the fuck not?" Genya asked as he glared at leorio.

"Hah?! I don't want to reveal why I'm here alright! Also what's with the attitude? You gotta respect me cause I'm older than you alright!"

"I agree with leorio." The boy named kurapika said as he looked at y/n for a brief moment before looking away, blushing slightly while closing his eyes once y/n smiled at him.

"Oi! You should show some respect to someone who's older than you!" Leorio shouted.

"By me telling you the reason why I am here would be exposing my deepest secrets. I do not wish to do that hence why I am refusing to answering your question." The blond explained as leorio shouted at him for ignoring the small sunglass wearing man.

"Oi katsuo, tell the examination board that we have two more dropouts." The captain ordered. Leorio and kurapika looked extremely confused and stared at the captain, completely dumbfounded.

"You two sure are naive. The hunter exam already stared, didn't you know that?" Rui asked, his upper part of his face covered with the white and red scarf.
