I sat in my office, trying to get at least some sort of work done. What can you even do when your mind is cluttered with what if's. I began looking over some raid plans; nothing truly caught my eye though.
I started to hum a little tune to distract myself. I don't know where I exactly got it, but it was working.
I looked out a window, all I really ever see is the sky, and occasional government helicopters. I thought about what life might be like if I were just a recruited member. I'd get missions, I'd see the outside of this damn airship, and less stress.
knock knock
"Come in," I responded.
It was Reginald Copperbottom, the previous toppat leader.
"I know a lot has just happened, but are you still willing to hear a plan for a mission?" Reg asked.
"Anything to take my mind off everything at this point is welcome. Present," I replied.
"Well, there is this museum maybe 160 miles away from us, but look at what they have in store for us!" he said, handing me photos.
"The Tunisian Diamond..." I sighed.
"What's wrong boss?" he asked.
"Oh, I stole this about 14 years ago. I guess my house was raided and they took it back," I said.
"So you're willing to execute this plan?" Reginald said, his eyes beginning to fill with hope.
I signed with my signatue on the end of the document, "Yes. I get to come along on this mission this time though."
"Is that really a good idea-"
"Reginald, I have not seen the outside of this airship in 2 years, I'm coming," I said.
"Yes sir," he nodded, exiting the room.
"This plan probably isn't happening for another month or five," I said to myself.
Reginald sudenly bursted back into the room unannounced.
"Reginald, what have we discu-"
"It's Ellie."
