I grabbed the key to his cell.

"Huh?" He said, piping his head up to the sound.

I opened the door, "Keep this key, and DO NOT lose it."

He refused to look at me.

"Charles Calvin, correct?" I said.

He nods.

"Alright, Charles, tell me exactly why you were snooping? To get us arrested?" I asked.

Yet again, silence.

"Charles," I said, softening my voice.

"What?" he snapped.

"Okay, no need to get snappy with me," I said.

"Fine," Charles said, crossing his arms.

"All I want to know is why you were snooping," I said.

"To do what you couldn't," he said.

"Ouch, okay," I joked.

"Henry! This isn't a time to joke," he said.

"And why is that?" I asked.

"Well.. well.." He couldn't find an answer.

"I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, I suppose," I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because you're Charles." I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "And also because you're a cinnamon roll."

"No." Charles stood up, "You betrayed my trust, along with the general's. You have no right to call me a cinnamon roll."

"Someone's mad," I said, sarcastically.

He kept his straight face.

"Alright, you're mad, I get it," I said.

"Do you though?" Charles asked.

"Explain your perspective." I sit down in a chair, "The floor is yours."

"Are you serious?" He asked.

"Yes, explain," I said.

Charles took a deep breath, "Let's see, almost 10 years ago, I flew you to that airship. Yeah, along the way we did talk, so I actually thought that we could be friends. I believe you wanted to bust in all dramatic, which at the time actually sounded like a good idea. You wound up killing someone!"

"He got cybernetic enhancements, he's fine now," I said.

"Now you're okay with what you did?" He yelled.

"No need to yell, I'm right here," I said, in an attempt to calm him down.

"If I'm holding an unintentional grudge against you, I can only imagine what he feels," Charles said.

"Charles, I'm sorry," I said.

"No you're not! You're only saying that to calm me down!" He kept shouting.

"I'll come back when you've calmed down, and when you're ready to have a rational conversation," I said, walking out.
