Chapter 18

"I don't need you"

Did Matt really tell me he didn't need me?

"Matt please" I said.

Tears were streaming down my face.

No no no.

"Avery, I don't need you. Okay? Get out of my life." He said.

He pushed me out into the hall way and slammed the door.

I slid down the wall, tears still coming down my cheeks.

Someone sat down beside me.

"Avery" he said.

I didn't look up.

"Avery. Avery." He said.

My eyes shot open.

"Avery" I heard someone say.

Matt's voice.

"what's wrong?!" Matt asked while moving a strand of hair out of my face.

I sat up panting.

"I had a dream..." I said looking over at Matt.

"You said you didn't need me. That you wanted me out of your life.." I continued.

"Ave, no." Matt said drawing me nearer to him.

He rubbed my back and smiled at me.

"Hey, I'm here and I'm not leaving. Now let's go get you some breakfast." Matt said.

That dream really scared me.

What if that really happens?

I shrugged it off.

Matt would never do that. Right? I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair. I put it in a ponytail and washed my face.

I put on a little bit of makeup just incase anyone I knew was down there. I then put on my shoes and went on the elevator with Matt.

He pressed the button and we went into the lobby. We went out across the street to a diner where they sold pancakes for breakfast.

We entered the diner and saw Aaron and Sammy.

"Hey guys" Aaron said.

"Hi" I smiled.

"Come sit with us" Sammy said.

Aaron moved over beside sammy so Matt and I could sit next to each other.

I sat across from Sammy and Matt sat across from Aaron.

"What do you want?" Matt asked me.

"Just a pancake." I smiled.

He nodded and ordered our food.

I got a coffee so it would wake me up a little.

"So y'all have y'all's first show tonight." I smiled.

"I know. I'm excited. Finally back at it!" Aaron smiled.

"So what should I expect?" I said while taking a sip of my coffee.

"Well, just be yourself. Don't be nervous. It'll be fun I promise." Sammy said.

"Yeah! I'm gonna call you on stage, but don't be nervous." Matt said.

"Okay" I said.

"And fans are gonna be fans. They're gonna be nice and mean, but don't let it get to you." Aaron said.
