R.E.A.L
R:Rehan
E:Esha
A:Ashish
L:Larry
This was our bond. A real one. In the generation of fake friends, we were real. Everyone assumed Ashish and Rehan to be enemies after that fight but their friendship shocked everyone. Also Esha was back to her natural kind nature which surprised everyone more. Also with me, an introvert in our group made us more different.
As Ashish and Esha were quite popular, we got a ticket to different parties and clubs. Though all of us didn’t drink, we did had a great time talking about the antics of the others around us. What was more fun than sitting with your best friends sober with drunk teenagers around doing who knows what? According to me, nothing. Also Esha took photos on her mobile of everyone doing weird stuff which they will regret sooner or later.
All was well until,
“Let’s play Truth or Dare.” Rehan suggested.
“Yes. Please, I am really bored.”
“We can play anything else too.” Ashish said before me.
“Yeah.” I agreed.
“Truth or Dare is a must in every friendship. It’s essential that we play this.”
“Oh. Okay.” I said.
We snatched a empty bottle from a sleeping guy on the couch nearby.
It was spun and after a while it stopped at Esha.
“Truth or Dare?” I asked.
“Dare.”
“Ooh. What should we give her?”
“I have an idea. Can you see that guy Manish? Flirt with him for two minutes and then call him bro.” Ashish said.
“Sick man.”
“Do it.”
We watched as Esha walked towards Manish. Though we couldn’t hear her, by the expressions of Manish, we figured out she was doing a great job. Within a matter of time, everyone was watching. Embarrassed, Esha said bye bro a little louder. Everyone started laughing at Manish's shocked expression. Watching that, we couldn’t control our laughter. That was the most crazy thing I had ever seen. Though in sometime the game resumed. This time it was on Ashish.
“Truth.” he said before anyone could ask truth or dare.
“Who was the first girl you ever dated.” I asked him quickly because I had a feeling he was hiding something and didn’t want it to come out.
“Riya.”
“Let’s continue the game.”
The bottle stopped at Rehan now.
“Truth or Dare?”
“Dare.”
“I will apply lipstick on your face and you will pout. I will click your photo and that photo will be on my facebook page for 24 hours.” Esha said finally after thinking for a while.
“What? No way! This is not happening.” Rehan protested.
“It will happen. Boys, hold him.”
Nodding, I and Ashish held Rehan tight by arms and legs. After a while of trying to get free, Rehan gave up. The lipstick was applied, Rehan was forced to pout and in few minutes the photo was on Esha’s facebook wall. After Rehan washed his face and returned back, the game resumed. It was on me this time.
“Truth.” I said afraid of such similar stunt to be performed on me.
“Who is your crush.” Rehan asked.
I regretted taking truth. This was wrong. What should I do? Should I tell the truth? What if she doesn’t like me? What if they throw me out of the group. But if I don’t tell the truth and they figure out later, it will be more trouble. Real friends don’t lie. I guess I should tell the truth.
“Hello! Wake up Larry. Dream about your crush later. Tell us the name.” Esha said.
“E....” my answer was interrupted by the ringtone on Esha’s phone.
“Hello Mom. What? He is back early? Wait I am coming.” Esha conversed on the phone.
“I should leave now. My mom has called me back. We should continue this later okay?”
“Of course. I guess I should leave too.” I said trying my best to hide my happiness for the call saved me for now.
“We should all go then. There is no fun for us two alone.” Ashish said.
As Esha left in a hurry, Rehan told us what he observed.
“Don’t you all think she is a bit tensed after that call.”
“Yeah she does. What do you think it will be? Maybe her mother was angry at her for staying out of house till late.” I suggested.
“It can be. But we should ask her the next time we meet her.” Rehan said.
“I don’t think so we should ask. She will tell us when she wants to.” Ashish said.
“I agree. She didn’t have any real friends before. It takes time to adjust. I am sure she will come around. We are anyways trustworthy, right Ashish?” I said indicating him I knew he was hiding something.
“Umm... Yes. Let’s go now.” Ashish left too.
“I think something was wrong with him too.” Rehan said confused.
“Maybe.” I said waiting to get home and sleep to meet Esha in my dreams.
