Match after match Monoma lost. He kept on making puns at the end and was slowly getting stronger.
"I forgot to ask. What's your hero name?" You questioned abruptly.
"Phantom Thief, " he replied without hesitation.
"Alright Phantom, put on your costume. We're going on patrol," you frowned. It was internship day three and you'd been tipped off that there were league sightings and more hero killer deaths.

"I'm going to be testing you on the way. Your physical strength's improving but that's not the only thing to being a hero right? You've got to know how to rescue people. Take that burning house, what would be the first step?" You asked running to the house closely followed by your intern.
"Put on a gas mask and evacuate everyone immediately. Call the firefighters and ambulance to check the condition of the victims," he shouted.
"Alright, so do it. I do this every day, you need experience!"

He successfully evacuated everyone and checked the conditions while you dialed the ambulance and firefighters. You had close ties to both due to your profession as both hero and officer.
"You know this would be a perfect time to play 'we didn't start the fire'," monoma stated blankly.
"Dammit that shouldn't have made me laugh," you snickered.
"What can I say, dark humour is the best humour," he smiled.
"Your humour isn't the only thing that's dark. It's black as night and it's only afternoon!" You pointed out, confused.

"There's fire everywhere, Nightingale what's going on?" Monoma whimpered.
"Heck if I know, this is how I get most of my missions. Actually this is just how I live life: pretend I know what's going on and roll with it. Very effective."
"Senpai now's not the time for jokes!"
"Fire within 5km in sight, analyse," you whispered your eyes widening at the result. "Bastard. Endeavour's being reckless again, he caused the fires. But there's another problem, some weird creatures called nomu are hijacking the city," you explained briefly.

"Well let's go then! We can split right?" Monoma asked, eager to help.
"Yes but you cannot fight any villains. Do everything possible to evacuate the victims, you'll be in the midst of chaos understood!" You briefed him not waiting for an answer but flying with him to city centre directly.
"Good luck Phantom!" You yelled flying off to help in the other hotspots.
"Pro hero Nightingale, calling for backup- AH- sector 15 STAT!" You called into the earpiece. Just then you recieved a notification showing nothing but a location. Grasshopper? Whomst? Fuck Mydoria he's in trouble! The realisation hit you like a bus as you caged the Nomu in a force field and flew off to the given location.

"Deku, Ingenium, Shoto what happened? Stain. No wonder you sent a location, smart move," you praised.
"Nightingale. I saw you, flying about saving the civilians. So why show up here?" Stain laughed.
"I won't let my students get hurt. I was late once, never again Stain you hear me!" You shouted. "Ultimate Move: Binary Code Crush!" Two large green hands appeared, crushing him as soon as you grabbed him.
"You, you aren't a fake. You are worthy!" He cackled.
He's still alive after that? That takes out villains in one go, just how strong is this guy?
Shoto tied him up while you held him, during which Iida was having his mid-life crisis a couple years early. More pros came, along with a flaming trash can each awing the fact that you took out the hero killer.

However, the glory was short lived.
"I told you to stay in the train!" A voice croaked.
"Gran Torino?"
"Old man? Get out, this isn't safe!" You yelled.
True to your word, it wasn't safe. A nomu swept down and grabbed Mydoria, only to be shot down by a very familiar-
"Tranquilizer dart," a voice explained.
"Joker! Thanks for coming," you greeted. You weren't greeted in return but a dart was shot at you. You narrowly dodged it resulting in it hitting stain.
"Sorry, it was my best shot at making sure he didn't escape. The rest of the crew is with your intern," she explained calmly.
"Awesome, the house of cards is back in action!" You cheered.

The students watched amused at the exchange while the pros were confused. Ryuko had called the ambulance while you helped clean up.

"Alright captain woof, let me take it from here. My students, my duty. I got involved, I know what happened," you glared at the captain. The two of you were rivals, he believed you weren't fit to be captain while you did everything to prove him wrong.
"You're not getting penalised. Native was there and so was I, therefore it counts as using your quirk under supervision. Not to mention, internships and you saved lives. If you were to be penalised, it would only drive you away from their goal. Thank you," you finished.

"I see you have it under control, captain birdseed. Well, I shall be taking my leave then," he turned and left.
You glared at the three boys spreading your wings to their full span.
"Just what exactly were you thinking going after the hero killer? We got lucky, that asshole is in a coma because of broken ribs and the tranquilizer dart. None of our quirks had any effect on him, we only won because of his damages. That was probably the most reckless thing you could do!" You scolded them.

"I'm sorry, it was my fault. My selfish ambitions got us into this position," Iida whimpered.
"That explains it," you sighed. "Iida listen. He wouldn't want you to beat yourself up over it nor would he want you to avenge him. Tensei goes with the flow, you should too. I'm glad you're all safe, now I need to go congratulate my intern and see how much he's improved. See you at school later," you smiled jumping out the window.
"Miss Nightingale if you are suicidal-" Iida began only to be cut of by the sight of beautiful black wings sparkling in the sun.
"I'm not, it was just the most effective way out. See you," you laughed and flew away.

"Monoma, my dearest intern. Here's another part about being a hero. Paperwork. For every villain you send to jail, you write down what measures you took. And for every citizen you rescued, you write down what measures you took. So for the rest of this week, we'll be switching between training and bureaucracy," you whimpered at the stacks of papers that covered your desk.
"It seems our number 3 hero has a fear of paper," he smirked in response.
"When you catch as many villains as I do, you'll be scared of even writing."
Of course your apathetic intern only laughed in response.
