Chpt.18

Cisco POV
2 weeks.
That's how long Barry has been out for. He shouldn't be out this long his speed should be healing him. But it's not. Caitlin is showing more and more signing of waking up but she just isn't. Barry hasn't had anything. His heart rate is still fast enough to keep him a live but is very slow.

I learned the doctors name. He said is was James I think. Yeah James Parker. He's been helping out a lot with both Cait and Barr. I'm just so worried. Both my friends are on the brink of death.

I walk up to Caitlin and hold her hand.
"Please Caitlin wake up. I need you Barrys not getting better. You really need to wake up. You don't even have to do it for me. Do it for him. He needs you. You both need each other. I know that things have been rough in your relationship. But this is when you need each other most. Please." I say as tears drip down my cheek.

As soon as I finished speaking I felt a squeeze. "Caitlin?"
I see her start to wiggle around. Squeezing my hand tighter and tighter.
"James! Get in here!" I call for him.
I see her eyes start to flutter open. James comes rushing in and is shocked as I am.
"Caitlin?" I call for her.

"C-Cisco" she says weakly. He eyes are now open.

"Oh my God Caitlin your awake!" James cheered.

"Cisco.... w-where B-Barry" she asks her voice sounded tired and weak.

"He'll ..." I didnt know what to say.

"He'll be back soon." I finally tell her. I know that I'm lying but she just woke up I can't lay all of what happened on her.

"I'm so glad you awake. We missed you so much!" I exclaim hugging her softly trying not to hurt her.

"W-who?" She points to Parker.

"Oh Um this is James Parker. He's a doctor and he was helping me look after you and B-" I stop in my tracks. Regretted what I had almost slipped out.

"Me and w-who?" She asks concerned.

"No one. Just you." I say trying to cover up my mistake.

James walks up to Caitlin to shake her hand.

"Nice to meet you Miss Snow."

"Nice to meet you to Dr.Parker." She smiled weakly. She looks tired.

"How about you get some sleep we'll talk more in the morning.

"Oh alright" she says. Almost immediately after I see her sound asleep.

I start to worry. Should I have told her about Barry. Will she be mad if she finds out where Barry really is.
Caitlin POV
I'm alive. All I can remember was the crash. Ronnie. I know he did this. Does Cisco? Does Barry? I thought to myself.

When I woke up I thought Barry would be there but he wasn't, just Cisco and this other doctor. What was his name again? Oh James. Cisco told me that Barry was coming back soon but it's been hours and he's still not here. They moved me to the lounge while I was still asleep they said they needed to fix up the med bay. I didn't know why but I went a long with it. Where is Barry?
Cisco POV
Me and James moved Caitlin when she fell asleep so we could work on Barry. I can tell Caitlin suspects something up. But I can't worry about that. Barrys heart rate is getting slower and slower. I know I have to tell Caitlin. She can maybe even help him get better. She's more experienced than me. James may be a great doctor but he doesn't work in metas. Barrys body is too complex for both of us to handle. Caitlin has the most experience. We need her.
I make my way to the lounge preparing what I will say to Caitlin.

"Hey Cisco" she says as she noticed my walk in.

"Oh hey Caitlin." I say nervously.

"I need to tell you something really important." I tell her.

"So do I." She says which surprised me.

"But you first" She tells me.

"Barry... h-he's not doing so well."

"What do you mean?" She asks worried

"H-he ... um ... he's sick. Really sick. He flat lined. But we got him back. His heart rate is very slow we are trying all we can. We think it's because he hasn't eaten much slept and he kept passing out. We don't know the full cause of why he's like this. I'm so sorry you had to find out after all that has happened to you. We just really need your help." I finally finish saying.

The look in her on her face broke my heart. Her eyes start to fill with water and she lets out a cry. I rush over to hug her and comfort her.

"Why Cisco..... just when I had him back." She says in between sobs.

"I know Caitlin. It's going to be okay, alright." I tell her. Not really knowing if it's the truth. Will  Barry be ok. Something like this has never happened to him before. I can't imagine losing my best friend. I know Barry though I'm sure he's still fighting to see us again. Or is he?
