~Chapter 7 end~

Kokichi's POV

"Shuichi n-not to hard!" I gasped for air, watching Shuichi tie the back of my dress, the dance was tonight and Shuichi looked dashing as always, I wish Shuichi could just take me... but I feel so much better with Shuichi...

Shuichi let go of the lace on my back, blushing, "s-sorry Ouma Kun... but here! I got you something" Shuichi walked to his kitchen and grabbed a small long box for me, I opened it and saw a beautiful lavender necklace, "Shuichi.." I hugged him feeling warm inside the more we bonded..

Shuichi smiled, but I could tell he was sad.... because he didn't look as happy as usual.. he held the necklace in his hands and slowly put it around my neck, clipping it in the back, "It looks beautiful on you...."

I of course already knew Shuichi was in love with me.... because he had said it himself... "Thank you Shuichi..." I pecked his cheek feeling more comfortable than usual.

Shuichi closed his eyes holding onto my waist... it was all just so comfortable... I know him and I should've gone to the dance together but.. I've been in love with Kiibo for so long.... and this was my chance..

Since Shuichi was the only one with a drivers license he had rented a limo and a limo driver... he had a lot of money to spend I guess. He walked me outside holding onto my hands.

Time skip to the dance

I noticed Shuichi talking with Kaede and laughing while meanwhile I couldn't find Kiibo anywhere, it was weird seeing Kaede smile that much... like she was up to something... I saw Kiibo walk up to the stage.. I was excited to see what he had to say, Kiibo took a deep breath and started to say in a confident tone.

"Calling me at 4 AM why can't you just leave me alone I sit in the back of the classroom I see you staring at me every period, it's pathetic that you love me trust me don't be, do you think you can fool us we all know you love him you don't love me at all, Maybe that was in the past but now or in the future fast, maybe if you were better you could've been mine but dear Oma you are quite sublime..."

I could feel myself tearing up... I ran outside rushing to the stairs of the school and kicking my heels off, Shuichi ran after me, finding me sobbing on the stairs. "Ouma.....Kun...." I wiped my eyes trying to calm down and take deep breaths

"Ouma Kun.. Baby.. he doesn't deserve you at all...." Shuichi brushed his hand against my chin making me look at him as I sobbed. Shuichi reached his arms out and between cries I got into them slowly.

Shuichi stoked my hair until I had started to rest in his arms, I slowly calmed down sniffling and occasionally stuttering breath "S-Shuich- hic Shuichi...."

Shuichi kissed my forehead, "Shhh..... Shuichi's here for you..... I'm here for you..." I smiled a little giggling at his sentence.

"I heard Rantaro and Kiibo hit it off really well..." Shuichi murmured kissing my hand to calm me down, "I-I know but.... I don't care about Kiibo... I don't even know why I'm crying.... I just feel so angry inside.... it's like I'm..... jealous...." I looked Shuichi in his eyes and teared up, "I am just jealous.... My mind just used this as an excuse...."

"I was jealous of you and Kaede.... how close you two were.... I wanted to be with you.. I wanted to be your prom date... I wanted to have the first dance with you... I'm being selfish and I know this isn't fair to Kaede but Shuichi..." I grabbed his hands bringing them up to my lips and kissing them.

"I never wanted Kiibo, or Rantaro..... I wanted you... I wanted.. Shuichi Saihara..."

Before I knew what I was doing I wrapped my arms around Shuichi's neck, pulling him into a kiss.... it felt nice... and warm... just so.. soft...

Shuichi kissed back surprisingly... he smiled holding onto me slowly, starting to tear up himself, "Kokichi......" he hugged me, rubbing my back, "Shuichi......" I replied back this time feeling calm.

I suddenly fell asleep in Shuichi's arms... I guess I really was tired...

Shuichi's POV

Kokichi had fallen asleep... just resting.... his eyes red and his nose puffy, I picked him up, carrying him over to my house.. I had called Kaede since I wasn't able to be at the dance anymore, she said it was fine and I was surprised she was being reasonable..

Finally getting back home, I set Kokichi down to rest, he looked tired and there were water marks on his face from crying.... I caressed his cheek trying to calm him down, he stuttered more heavy breaths.

I noticed that there was food on the table... my uncle must've came home early and went back to work.... he did all of this for me.? Kokichi was whining, slowly fluttering his eyes open.

"Saihara Chan.?... where are we.?." He sat up and rubbed his head... I guess he had forgotten what he had told me... about loving me.. "Kokichi.... you passed out when we were at the dance...." I held his hand helping him get up from the couch.

"did Kiibo dance with me...?" I rubbed the bed of his head pulling him into a hug, "Yeah... Yeah he did..." Kokichi smiled, I heard him let out a sigh. "Did you save a dance with me.?..."

I dimmed the lights, walking over to the speaker and playing a nice song on my phone, "Dance with me Kokichi..." he held my hands out, his eyes glistening, he looked up at me, blushing..

"Alright..." holding Kokichi's waist, "Shuichi~" he looked at me deeply, while I was holding him, loving how cute he looked.... "Kokichi do you.... love me...."

He suddenly backed away, blushing deeply, trying to grab his words correctly "M-Maybe!! I-I don't know... y-Yeah.?..."

"Well.... I love you..." Kokichi started to tear up, seeing his expressions change so much, he ran over to hug me, embracing me tightly..

"I love you too....."

Forever and ever I knew you were the one... no matter how much you lied about your feelings I could always figure out your truths..
