BigHit Entertainment Chairman Bang Si-hyuk is expected to show up soon for the company’s initial public offering on the nation’s main bourse Kospi. The event is being livestreamed for the media -- a first in Kospi history. The opening bell rang for BH's stock debut. The stock trading has just started at 270,000 won ($235.58), more than doubled from the IPO price of 135,000 won. BH has reached an important moment in its business expansion as it is asking the public to back its future and invest in its shares.

"We will become the world's best entertainment and lifestyle platform company," Bang wrote in his congratulatory message.

Bang: Today marks BH's 15th anniversary. Having started as a small entertainment label, we now own four labels and seven subsidiaries. We have become a global company that hires more than a thousand employees.
