Nodding their head in agreement and picking up their bags, they proceed to walk out to the main door.
Except the noise of the footsteps of a few teachers and some students, the hallways were rather silent. They believed that they'd make through the day with any more drama. Realization dawned on them that Eastview High had different plans for them, as they hear a scream from the boys' locker room down the hallway.
Boy, what a scream it was. It made the hair stand straight up on the back of my neck. It was one of the loudest piercing scream I had ever heard. It sounded like a scream of wild panic. A scream of hysteria and disbelief bordering on terror, followed next.
Hela looks at both of their faces, still in shock the same as hers, before they finally run towards the end of the hallway towards the noise.
Reaching the locker room, they see the new blonde girl - Chloe - slumped against one of the lockers, surrounded by a few horrified teachers too.
None of them say anything immediately, looking around Mike notices Ms Davies standing too close to one of the walls, far away from Chloe. Guessing that hers was the second scream that followed, he scans the locker room again- barely consisting of 6 or 7 people.
No one asks anything. No words said, at all. Just Bryce making Chloe drink water, and the teachers standing around her. Nothing else. The janitor scrolled right past the room without even sparing a sight to the crowd. Rebecca is immensely confused about why no one is doing anything while Mike continues inspecting the room.
Hela has seen many movies, and the shows. "They never truly cry", she thinks "from what I have seen when someone cries it's not pretty, their eyes turn red and swollen."
Of course though, you can't always forget the tears. As everyone left the room without anyone saying a thing; Chloe, Bryce and the trio remain the last. Small crystals bend that trail down the cheeks and to the neck, where she finally noticed the thing.
Horrified, Hela bent down towards Chloe and embraced her in a hug, softly patting her back while Becca stood confused as ever by the door.
Hela eyed Mike and gestured something, making a light bulb go on in his mind and he finally realized what had happened.
The B's had started their bullshit after all. Hela thinks to herself as she helped Chloe clean up, while Bryce gathered both of their things.
It seemed as if Chloe was aware, that this was going to happen. Silently thanking Hela, both of the friends head out to the main door and drive off on a SUV, Becca still patiently waiting for a reasonable explanation of what just happened.
"So.....?" Becca questions amusingly eyeing them both.
"What. The. Hell. Happened. Here?" Becca again asks calmly, but even Mike knew that her tone was anything but calm.
Hela sighs as she realizes there is literally lot more things that Becca has to get familiar with. And this was just their first day....
